Seems to me the claim of "moral victory" because of the rain, is rather unique. The British Open Golf 4th day was also played in bad weather, but they played on, and we didnt hear any claims from the losing players that actually they would have won except for the rain. Nor that the internal "out of bounds" were unfair and in the spirit of the game, players whose balls go there should be forgiven. Rules are rules mate!

Rejection of Pita’s renomination as PM ‘unconstitutional’ : Ombudsman

Lets hope it will be a creation of real democracy where poll winners are allowed to reflect the people's will. -
Exorbitant payment processing fees for AirAsia flights
kennw replied to omnipresent's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
So what does the "processing fee" entail. ? Probably just a computer key stroke. The point the writer is making it just seems to be a money grab and an unethical practice. Those who dont care contribute to this practice. -
Dont apply western logic, use Thai thinking, you bought two houses, and still there ? obviously the well is not dry yet.

But, it is a suspension! the court has not yet made a decision and since they accepted the case for consideration probably they are required to suspend him. But you are right it does not look good..

How to handle Thai women becoming “attached” right away?
kennw replied to ASEANTraveler's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Tell them you dont have any money. -
But enough were prepare to join and make a coalition. And, as leader of the party that won the most votes he is entitled to vie for the PM position if the coalition could make the required number of seats. The ITV and second court cases are an attempt to displace him, before the senators have to declare them selves. If they, as non-elected members prevent the people's choice, they will be condemned. But there are powerful forces involved.

Move Forward Party’s Thai PM Candidate Pita Fails First Round of Voting
kennw replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You should take a look at the person behind the scene pulling the strings, it was quite obvious when the man in Dubai before the election set the date for his return. Also now you can expect after the dust settles his man sorry, lady, will be able to issue a "get put of jail free" card. What drives politics in Thailand ? its not democracy its $$$$ -
If it is Thai language in "Word" just use google translate on your computer

Pita complains of unfair treatment by the Election Commission
kennw replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A logical analysis would consider who would be harmed by an EC ruling banning the MFP (Cow Gy) party, and the answer is "peoples democracy" since valid elections are the basis of democracy. -
I agree totally. SCB easy net on laptop was convenient and safe. Very hard to lose your laptop when it is at home. Also many small businesses in up country villages now in real trouble since the village ATM removed and getting cash means a long trip to the nearest city ATM. Small village shops dont have scanning facilities so only the big businesses benefit, and the Banks reduce their costs with increased profits.
