Before I had cash on delivery but this time I paid first. Maybe they try harder with CoD and B4500 but not if they have the money already. First time with this problem and first time cash given before goods received. Stupid Farang.

Speak for yourself. Speak for yourself. Did I just say that? 🙂

Went to the local FLASH mob and they checked the number which ended up nowhere, so they said the parcel has been sent back to China. I had my wife's old phone number in the delivery address, phone etc. FLASH said if you don't answer the phone or number wrong, then the parcel doesn't get delivered but sent back. Bugger.

I ordered some gear from AliExpress. They said they tried to deliver it (or their Thailand freight company Flash), but we weren't home, so now they say wrong address. I contacted the supplier in China and they said try the post office, but not there. So what's the use of the tracking number if no one knows where the parcel is or no one can tell me who the local deliver people are? Most of our parcels come via Flash, so I suppose a trip to their office is needed. BUT, why can't I find the parcel from the tracking number?

Pool idea 10m x 4m is 1.2-1.5m deep enough

It's really to stop the sun if you want to go in for a splash or drunken beer with your friends. -

carlyai replied to kwak250's topic in Swimming Pool Forum
No. The deep end is 4x3x2 approx and pool looses heat over night, so the lower water is cool. Pump mixes that water up, so only the shallow end is warm. It's not cold but OK. -
I have 3BB fibre cable to the house. Fairly good reliable service. Combine that with a VPN (I use Express VPN) and you can get Aussie TV. I don't have a Smart TV so I use an Android box as my player.

@KhunLAthanks for correcting my pic. Did you do it with your hand phone and how? 🙂 -

@kwak250 Our pool was concrete pour (quite exciting really. Shutter boards only moved in 1 area and a small amount of concrete escaped outside the pool. Operator error vibrated the wrong part during pour). In-between the pour and Kerra tiles laid I decided to build a roof over the shallow end. You really need some pool shade. (Sorry bout the pic. Turn your phone upsidedown :(). -

About the slope: as I said ours goes from 1.4 (or 1.2 can't remember) to 2 m in steps, not continuous slope. 1.4m for 3 m, gradual slope for 3m, then 2m deep for approx 3m. Need a flat surface for aquaaeroblics or exercising. Also I thought it safer to have stepped pool floor. The thing I didn't like about an overflow pool is you need a big water sump that frogs would probably love. We get some large frogs in our water drain pipes but they don't last too long as their amplified croaks brings the snakes in for a feed. 🙂 Also think about going solar if only for the pool, then you can also include solar pool water heater panels and pump. -

I think you will find 1.2 to 1.5 m deep is not enough. Mine is 14 x 4 x (1.4 to 2.0). Unless you do it all yourself I think B800000 is too cheap. -

Police stopped us a long time ago and told me to put my shirt on. Also turn lights on in the daytime is a nono. -
Worst Joke Ever 2025

When we were first year trainees we had to get morning tea from the shops. Even though the boss used to order 'a randy tart' or 'a foreskin roll' cake shop never supplied them. -

I'd say our 15/45A 3P 4 wire PEA supply meter is 20 to 30 years old. It was used to power the 3 P rice threshing machine. When the machine was closed down, the meter stayed idle for several years until I had it moved a few meters and connected our house about 8 years ago. The Al overhead 4 x 25mm2 runs from the meter box to our house. The Al cables were never correctly terminated in the meter, (or the CU) just Al cables pushed into the meter box terminals and tightened. No Al to Cu connectors were used. A couple of years ago the neutral connection had to be re-terminated as was a HR joint and all the phase connection screws were loose. Never been correctly torqued. The meter is still in the BIL's name and we need to change it to my wife's name (as he's now driving tractors in the sky). When my wifey goes into change names, should we ask for a new 30/100A meter as well? Will PEA use correct connectors to terminate and connect our house while they are here. Are sweetners needed? Will PEA not connect our house and leave it up to my electrician to connect the house to meter? Would it be better to stay with the old meter until I install and sort out my Solar System?

Earthquake Rocks Bangkok: Building Collapses with 40 people inside
carlyai replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand News
My wife was being operated on in the Bangkok Pattaya hospital during the earthquake. I initially didn't know what was going on as staff were rushing everywhere and I guessed the hospital was being evacuated. Thought it was a fire as people were looking up at the top floors and one nurse gesturing with her hands things falling down. I had to ask someone outside what was happening and they said an earthquake. I just wandered back in the main door to wait for my wife. Bit disorganised and I'd say not many evacuation drills had been carried out. The good news was wifey was all good and a nurse stayed with her in the operating theatre and in recovery while all other staff were evacuated. Anyone see any police helping? -
@motdaengmotdaeng As we both have the same Sealion 7, your posts are very informative to me. 🙂 Just did a 10 odd hour trip to Pattaya and recharged twice. Didn't need to charge the second time but we had a breakfast break for the first charge and a lunch break so decided to charge as well. One of the chargers finished at 95%, that was it. Not sure why. Also the GPS system had a hiccup at a series of cross roads, 'turn left, turn right, turn left, etc then straightened itself out. I'll see if it does it on our way back tomorrow. Very comfortable trip and don't feel as 'beaten up' as I usually feel after a long trip.

Going back to Australia then? -
We can now see which is the betterer version. A bit disappointed in the Sealion 7 as some body panels not mating properly. When the front doors are closed the gap between the car and door trim at the front of the door is a couple of mm more than the gap on the passenger side. Already had fixed placement of the plastic back roof panel. Only mm in it but shouldn't be, quality control should have picked it up in the factory.

OK thanks, so just fill in the logbook and not drive after 8 pm. Easy.

Can I drive a Mukdahan (Isaan) red plate car in Bangkok or Mukdahan to Bangkok and return? I think it's OK as long as you write your travel itinary in the car book.

Thanks. I'll have to check more but the bike has 48V Samsung batteries so the switch may be underrated. I have 2 of the same ebikes and both now have their taillights on.
