  1. Most TVF members wouldn't go to such a party as they'd look out if place amongst all the young ones !! But don't have like to comment on the things they( youngsters ) consider fun and a right of passage!!

Laughable really also considering it doesn't interfere in their daily lives either in Nakhon nowhere waiting for their pension cheques!!

Let's just go one step further and ban all nightclubbing and any sort of social partying shall we? It's not like nobody has ever been assaulted or murdered inside or outside such a location has there ??

Nightclubs are usually responsible for providing security because the probability of a violent act is high where a significant amount of alcohol, and drugs, are being consumed. In the west, violent incidents still occur and sometimes security is partly or wholly responsible. But still, it's the best way of ensuring people can safely enjoy themselves. Until Thailand can sort the security issues out, the Full Moon rave parties should be banned. In the west, such gatherings would require a permit, provision of security and emergency medical personnel.

  2. Maybe they should try fixing their trains and make a plan for scheduled maintenance . . . or actually learn how to run a rail system BEFORE thinking about frivolous things.

They aren't thinking about frivolous things. These 'frivolous' things, as you put it, are being seriously mulled. And mulling is good, it shows maturity. Had the Airport Rail Link been mulled beforehand, it would be running more efficiently. I think all projects should be thoroughly mulled before construction.

Had the ARL been properly mulled, they never would have built the Makassan station as an airport transfer hub and never would have launched the Express Rail service. ARL is an essential part of the BKK mass transit system. There's no other mass transport for the large residential communities being built near Prawet and Lat Krabang. The City Link trains are only 3 cars long, and can't even run every 15 minutes anymore. There's no point developing commercial space next to the stations unless they have commenced a satisfactory plan for improving the actual rail service. The system is already operating at its current maximum capacity, because there was no planning for the demand from the rapidly expanding East Bangkok population.

  3. It's a racial slur. Punishment is well-deserved.

How the <deleted> was that a racial slur, he did not comment on race or colour, no different than somebody saying look at them 2 they are not that athleticly built, but does that say I am calling them fat, why when 2 people of different colours say something the other does not like, becomes racial, That card is frown around so often it becomes boring

To those who didn't think the comment was racist, Serena took it as racist.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Serena Williams says comments by the head of the Russian Tennis Federation referring to her and older sister Venus as "brothers" were bullying, sexist and racist, and that she supported the one-year suspension imposed by the WTA against the official.

  4. Thailand's roadways are replete with unreasonably dangerous hazards. Modern roadway design employs construction techniques and installation of safeguards to prevent accidents such as this. The idea is to create a "forgiving roadway". It will not prevent every accident, but will minimize the damage caused by a distracted or dozing driver, reducing fatalities.

    Ever see these in Thailand?

RIP poor lady and condolences to your family and friends.

  5. Another case of poor journalism on the part of the Nation. Prayuth was talking about economic inequality, not social inequality. It would be great if Prayuth was able to make any progress in expanding the middle class in Thailand. Rayong province has a growing middle class, but the rest of Thailand seems to be going in the reverse direction. Social inequality is more than any government will ever be able to overcome in Thailand. Who would lead Thailand to recognize that the color of one's skin is irrelevant to one's social standing? I don't think Thailand will ever see a civil rights movement or someone who could lead it.

  6. America already came up with the solution for this, it's called McDonalds.

I mean really. Deal with the inconsistency in your own country first. Order pad thai from a street vendor and it compare it to pad thai from Black Canyon. It's not the same, and never will be. Nor, should it be.

Most countries pride themselves on diversity. Not Thailand. Take 3 steps backwards. Everyone must make pad krapaw moo with 6 thai bird chilies. If you use 4, it's not authentic. pfft!
