RIP Jack. A huge inspiration to all bassists. Although most people only know him from Cream, he continued to gig up until his death. I particularly like his work with Gary Moore and Robin Trower.

Maybe they should try fixing their trains and make a plan for scheduled maintenance . . . or actually learn how to run a rail system BEFORE thinking about frivolous things.
They aren't thinking about frivolous things. These 'frivolous' things, as you put it, are being seriously mulled. And mulling is good, it shows maturity. Had the Airport Rail Link been mulled beforehand, it would be running more efficiently. I think all projects should be thoroughly mulled before construction.
Had the ARL been properly mulled, they never would have built the Makassan station as an airport transfer hub and never would have launched the Express Rail service. ARL is an essential part of the BKK mass transit system. There's no other mass transport for the large residential communities being built near Prawet and Lat Krabang. The City Link trains are only 3 cars long, and can't even run every 15 minutes anymore. There's no point developing commercial space next to the stations unless they have commenced a satisfactory plan for improving the actual rail service. The system is already operating at its current maximum capacity, because there was no planning for the demand from the rapidly expanding East Bangkok population.

There's always a risk of death when anesthesia is administered. I hope this is investigated by the Department of Health, but most hospitals and clinics would have a patient sign a consent form for the surgery.

I wish him a speedy recovery.
DNA tests will show that this is an Asian tiger, probably of Burmese origin. RTP claim that the tiger made a confession. The tiger interpreter provided a certified translation that read "burp". The tiger now has spectacularly withdrawn her confession, saying she was beaten into the confession while a plastic bag was placed over her head.

Boxes can be dropped during shipping. As bad as ThaiPost is, the fault lies with the packer/shipper. A heavy object like this requires quite a bit of packing material to prevent breakage.

I wonder what would happen if Thailand ever got around to requiring mitigation of toxic molds in flooded buildings. I've never even heard of anyone mention mold contamination after the 2011 floods hit northern Bangkok.

It's a racial slur. Punishment is well-deserved.
How the <deleted> was that a racial slur, he did not comment on race or colour, no different than somebody saying look at them 2 they are not that athleticly built, but does that say I am calling them fat, why when 2 people of different colours say something the other does not like, becomes racial, That card is frown around so often it becomes boring
To those who didn't think the comment was racist, Serena took it as racist.
SINGAPORE (AP) — Serena Williams says comments by the head of the Russian Tennis Federation referring to her and older sister Venus as "brothers" were bullying, sexist and racist, and that she supported the one-year suspension imposed by the WTA against the official.

Political chaos in Thailand. There's a bold prediction.

In America, brother is a term used to refer to an African-American male. cf the original film The Longest Yard. 'do you know why you call each other brother? Cause half of you don't know who your daddy is, and you just might be brothers.'

The Nation is trying to redefine itself as a fact finder?

Would hate to think what would happen at this airport if a plane were to catch fire.

Yep, and we've seen this one before. Ocean 1 Tower in Jomtien. Total fail.

That's good. However, as has already been noted, Thailand's regulatory scheme will prevent all but unskilled workers from actually entering the legal workforce. Protectionism is Thailand's only way of staying competitive in ASEAN.

Thailand's roadways are replete with unreasonably dangerous hazards. Modern roadway design employs construction techniques and installation of safeguards to prevent accidents such as this. The idea is to create a "forgiving roadway". It will not prevent every accident, but will minimize the damage caused by a distracted or dozing driver, reducing fatalities.
Ever see these in Thailand?
RIP poor lady and condolences to your family and friends.

Sorry, but it's too late for Thailand. It would take decades to catch up to the rest of ASEAN in English skills. That includes Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar. Thailand will never catch up to Malaysia, Singapore or the Philippines.
The only way Thailand is going to remain competitive in the AEC is protectionism. We will soon see a proliferation of vocational requirements which will render it virtually impossible for any foreigners to take skilled labor positions away from Thais.

He's a Texan. Hard to drum up any feeling of sympathy for him.

Another case of poor journalism on the part of the Nation. Prayuth was talking about economic inequality, not social inequality. It would be great if Prayuth was able to make any progress in expanding the middle class in Thailand. Rayong province has a growing middle class, but the rest of Thailand seems to be going in the reverse direction. Social inequality is more than any government will ever be able to overcome in Thailand. Who would lead Thailand to recognize that the color of one's skin is irrelevant to one's social standing? I don't think Thailand will ever see a civil rights movement or someone who could lead it.

Well a statement like that, anywhere else in the world would probably bring an instant mistrial.
Pure heresay
Do you mean hearsay Mr. Lawyer? Maybe you didn't study the hearsay rule in your evidence class. The hearsay rule has numerous exceptions. A statement against one's interest made to another person by a party is admissible in court against that party.

America already came up with the solution for this, it's called McDonalds.
I mean really. Deal with the inconsistency in your own country first. Order pad thai from a street vendor and it compare it to pad thai from Black Canyon. It's not the same, and never will be. Nor, should it be.
Most countries pride themselves on diversity. Not Thailand. Take 3 steps backwards. Everyone must make pad krapaw moo with 6 thai bird chilies. If you use 4, it's not authentic. pfft!

Full-moon party only at Haad Rin
in Thailand News
Posted
Nightclubs are usually responsible for providing security because the probability of a violent act is high where a significant amount of alcohol, and drugs, are being consumed. In the west, violent incidents still occur and sometimes security is partly or wholly responsible. But still, it's the best way of ensuring people can safely enjoy themselves. Until Thailand can sort the security issues out, the Full Moon rave parties should be banned. In the west, such gatherings would require a permit, provision of security and emergency medical personnel.
