  1. Interesting. When was that, at what airport, checking in for a flight of what airline?
  2. This is a s bit difficult to explain, but I'll try: 1. The arrival date is the date on which you arrive in Thailand by air, sea or land. 2. The departure date is the date you plan to leave Thailand. Therefore, the departure date cannot be earlier than the arrival date. 3. Data input on the form is compulsory only for the fields marked with a red asterisk. The fields in the section "Departure" are not compulsory.
  3. Please note that with the TDAC, only the fields marked with a red asterisk are compulsory, ie require you to input data. Whether we like it or not, this system of advanced travel information input is now the new norm for Thailand, is already in place for some other countries and currently in process for more countries. If it speeds up immigration clearance on arrival, as intended, we, the travellers, benefit from it.
  4. This may be because visa numbers generally include no slash and because they don't want numbers of other things entered in that field.
  5. Yes, definitely. It is no a required field, ie has no red asterisk next to it.
  6. Yes, you can leave the field "Visa No." blank, regardless whether or not you have a visa. Personally, when I have a visa, I shall enter its number in the TDAC form and show the immigration official a printout of the visa.
  7. I would leave the field "Visa No." blank because the number of the re-entry permit is not a visa number.
  8. Because you are arriving with a valid re-entry permit, not with a valid visa, and because data entry for the field "Visa No." is not compulsory, you are free to leave that field empty. That's what I would do in your situation.
  9. Did the fact that you "saw no one getting turned away" at immigration at the airport lead you to conclude that "the TDAC seemed to be confusing mess at immigration"?
  10. The domain registrar of tdac.info is Namecheap.com, based in the USA. As technical contact for the domain, a phone number and a mailing address in Iceland are shown. For reporting abuse, the email address [email protected] and the phone number +1.9854014545 are given. Source: https://ie.godaddy.com/whois/results.aspx?itc=dlp_domain_whois&domain=tdac.info
  11. The ETA project has been abandoned and the DTAC has bee introduced instead. https://aseannow.com/topic/1356153-thailands-digital-card-chaos-say-goodbye-to-tm6-hello-to-confusion/

  13. "No one asked me for anything" What, if anything, did you give or show to the immigration official without his asking for it?
  14. I made a mistake there, meant to type CHE for Confœderatio Helvetica (although Swiss Confederation will correctly pop up)
  15. Your "12 month retirement extension" is an extension of your temporary permission to stay in Thailand and for immigration purposes your country of residence is not Thailand. However, it is unlikely that indicating Thailand in that field will get you into any trouble.
  16. For "Country of residence", the trick is to type the first three letters of the country name, eg gre for Great Britain produces a pop-up with a few county names that includes Great Britain; uni for United Kingdom gives a list that is too short to include that name, but continue trying and unit brings up the list that includes United Kingdom. Of course, if I happen to know the ISO three-letter country code, eg SWI for Switzerland or GBR for Great Britain, this is the most direct way to fill in the field for the country of residence. (Lower-case letters are also accepted for the codes)
  17. I noticed the same on my phone. The trick is not to try to scroll, but to type the first three letters of the nationality, eg swi for Swiss, bri for British.
  18. I have not yet seen an official list of required documents for an extension of stay based on a DTV. Could you post a copy of the list you received from the Jomtien immigration office, please?
