Quoted 3 million THB from PEA to get 400 Amp Service onsite!
CLW replied to ElephantEgo's topic in The Electrical Forum
70 meters before or after the transformer? To my knowledge every works before the transformer can only be done by PEA so you're at the mercy of their quotation. After transformer you can hire private contractor -
Not in urgent need to buy a car / EV but my favorite is still the GWM Ora Good Cat. Waiting for BYD Seal because I like the design. However, price not out yet. Also observing Tesla coming to Thailand, Model 3 would be my choice

Dynavap is sold openly and official in Thailand from several shops. It's not classified as vaping device since it has no battery. Just google or search FB for sellers.

You think Toyota is overpriced? Really? I think you confused with quality and value for money. Why are all taxi drivers use Corolla Altis? I'm really a fan of Chinese built E-SUVs and EVs but considering the price of the Toyota bz it's very attractive to other similar models such as Tesla Y or upcoming Haval H6 EV. Btw, the issues with the falling off tyres was related to a design problem with the bolts and not how to fix them

PHEVs sales are basically dead in Europe, everyone wants to have pure EV. Reasons amongst are the high price and additional cost for maintenance.

Non-B application at embassy KL
CLW replied to CLW's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Okay, thanks for clarification. My boss anyhow hired an agent to do the work for her, it's quite similar but the agent said she can't apply for work permit based on NON-ED. So the plan is now I leave to country to cancel my ED-Visa and meanwhile the agent applying for WP32 and sent it to me. With that I can then apply for 90 day NON-B, come back and do the work permit followed by 1-year-extension. The reason for this is, the Department of Employment is going to check the departure and arrival stamps later and they must matching with the application date for WP32 (later than this and earlier than NON-B application) Before reading your reply I asked the agent the same question or process: to apply for work permit based on NON-ED. But she said the Department of Employment doesn't do this anymore. -
Non-B application at embassy KL
CLW replied to CLW's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thank ubonjoe. Very helpful. So as I understand, we will be going ahead to submit the WP32 application and wait for the results? Currently I am on Non-ED extension that expires on 28 October -
Planning to get a 90 day temporary Non-B visa at Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur in order to apply for work permit and 1 year extension. Embassy has a checklist that requires approval letter from Department of Employment or WP3 form. Been today at Department of Employment. They said WP3 has been replaced by WP32. And they don't know of any approval letter. They recommended to leave Thailand and then apply for WP32, wait for approval and then go to embassy to apply for Non-B. Currently I'm on Non-ED extension and even if I leave the country I am wondering how department of employment can issue work permit without prior temporary Non-B. I'm really confused. Anyone can shed some light on the process or has done a Non-B at KL or any other Thai Embassy. Thank you

I recommend you visit your nearest dental hospital (mostly attached to general medical hospitals), not go to a clinic. The doctors at the hospital might help to evaluate the current situation and make a treatment plan.

Anti-COVID nasal spray to be available from October 1st
CLW replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Okay, the director of the producing company and also a doctor highlights the function of a simple emulsifier while on the package it says "contains human antibodies". I smell a big scam.... Of course the money-making has to continue after there's no more interest in temp sensors, hand sanitizer and masks. But covid-scared Thais gonna love it and spend all their money.... -
Thanks ubonjoe. Very helpful. Two additional questions: 1.) My extension expires 28 October. When should I contact the school / go to immigration to cancel the extension. Is there a certain period that I can use between cancellation and leaving the country? 2.) As stated, my extension ends at 28 October but the last semester term that I was enrolled ended already in August. Will I get in any troubles? Referring to question 1, should I try to ask the university to use a closer date to end of my extension or for example just let them write, that I have finished my studies last semester and no longer a student without mentioning a certain date?

Hello everyone, I was granted a NON-ED visa many years ago for the purpose of studying full time in Thailand. Since then it has been extended on a yearly basis. Now I am going to work and apply soon for a 90 day NON-B at Thai Embassy in order to get a work permit. Question now, do I need to cancel my extension formally or just don't do a re-entry permit before leaving the country? Thank you and best regards

Expert warns that the worst rain for Bangkok is yet to come
CLW replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Any proof or evidence for the Dr.'s claim? Yes, it has rained more than ever but usually the rainy season come to an end in October. If there are no more tropical storms or depressions building up, not much to worry
