Planning to get a 90 day temporary Non-B visa at Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur in order to apply for work permit and 1 year extension. Embassy has a checklist that requires approval letter from Department of Employment or WP3 form. Been today at Department of Employment. They said WP3 has been replaced by WP32. And they don't know of any approval letter. They recommended to leave Thailand and then apply for WP32, wait for approval and then go to embassy to apply for Non-B. Currently I'm on Non-ED extension and even if I leave the country I am wondering how department of employment can issue work permit without prior temporary Non-B. I'm really confused. Anyone can shed some light on the process or has done a Non-B at KL or any other Thai Embassy. Thank you

I recommend you visit your nearest dental hospital (mostly attached to general medical hospitals), not go to a clinic. The doctors at the hospital might help to evaluate the current situation and make a treatment plan.

Anti-COVID nasal spray to be available from October 1st
CLW replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Okay, the director of the producing company and also a doctor highlights the function of a simple emulsifier while on the package it says "contains human antibodies". I smell a big scam.... Of course the money-making has to continue after there's no more interest in temp sensors, hand sanitizer and masks. But covid-scared Thais gonna love it and spend all their money.... -
Thanks ubonjoe. Very helpful. Two additional questions: 1.) My extension expires 28 October. When should I contact the school / go to immigration to cancel the extension. Is there a certain period that I can use between cancellation and leaving the country? 2.) As stated, my extension ends at 28 October but the last semester term that I was enrolled ended already in August. Will I get in any troubles? Referring to question 1, should I try to ask the university to use a closer date to end of my extension or for example just let them write, that I have finished my studies last semester and no longer a student without mentioning a certain date?

Hello everyone, I was granted a NON-ED visa many years ago for the purpose of studying full time in Thailand. Since then it has been extended on a yearly basis. Now I am going to work and apply soon for a 90 day NON-B at Thai Embassy in order to get a work permit. Question now, do I need to cancel my extension formally or just don't do a re-entry permit before leaving the country? Thank you and best regards

Newer Air-cons have a heat pump function which enables them to heat running the compressor vice-versa instead of cooling

Expert warns that the worst rain for Bangkok is yet to come
CLW replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Any proof or evidence for the Dr.'s claim? Yes, it has rained more than ever but usually the rainy season come to an end in October. If there are no more tropical storms or depressions building up, not much to worry -
Getting full-sized bike from Asok to Happy & Healthy Bike Lane?
CLW replied to Rex Nebula's topic in Bangkok
You can bike to Makkasan Airport Rail Link station. As far as I know, during off peak hours bicycles are allowed on the train. You need to get off one station before the terminus at BKK -
No major marijuana issues increasing after cannabis decriminalization
CLW replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I consider alcohol, nicotine or even coffee to be more addictive than cannabis. Talking from own experiences. Also Kratom could cause dependency but I never used it. -
Protest at Ratchaprasong this weekend to demand removal of the “3-Ps”
CLW replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Lets see how many people participate this time. The recent "demos" or in Thai called mob were hardly more than 30 people or so. Also interesting if the student groups and Din Daeng youth Thalugaz are going to join this event -
Too bad the Han won't be coming, as it's a real competitor for Tesla and other western EV brands. The Seal quite attractive to me as well. Would be the first affordable sedan EV for Thailand

Experience on a boat or not. If I ever should go to Samui, it will in the most convenient and cheap way, which means taking a flight to NST and a transfer to Samui. Alternatively I could also imagine a train journey. For sure I won't use Bangkok Airways. If the seahorse ferry can beat the price, I'm all in But it starts already with the problem, how to get to Sattahip. From my current home, I take a taxi to Swampy or train to DMK. Can't leave the family car for a few days somewhere

That car model was a worldwide flop and if Mazda (together with other Japanese carmakers) not soon hurry up with churning out EVs they can say goodbye to their automobile industry. They're even worse positioned than the German brands were two years ago...
