  1. Israeli apologists seem to be playing with statistics in order to justify the massacre of 551 innocent children. The results of your accountancy can be seen by Google Images: children killed Gaza. However way you try to rationalize it, this remains an obscenity in the 21st century.

Many other nations in history have committed crimes against humanity, but have confronted their past, and have been able to move on. Israel is still in a state of denial.

OF course it's an obscenity. What else might be an obscenity? religion? The reward of 72 virgins for killing Jews in the name of Allah?

How would you suggest israel protect itself? Choose to protect say half the people within rocket range? More? Less? Or maybe it would be better to sacrifice a small number, say 10?,20?, 30? to keep the western press quiet? Or maybe offer no resistance at all to win the approval of the likes of you

Israel isn't in a state of denial. Are you kidding me? Not confronted its past? Are you completely ignorant of Jewish history? It's precisely because the past has been confronted that Israel exists today ..Israel makes no apology for killing children You want to put your kids in harm's way? Up to you....

How would you suggest israel protect itself?

Perhaps by Israel not provoking a war with Hamas in the first place and by Israel getting serious about a just peace agreement with the PA, and accepting an long standing offer of an indefinite truce from Hamas in return for lifting the blockade of Gaza.

Simple as that. You've got to start with peace somewhere.

We've been here many times before in this debate.

Acquaint yourself with the facts at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_2014_Israel%E2%80%93Gaza_conflict

You mean perhaps, Hamas should not start firing rockets at civilian targets. One thing is sure with you Dex. You love going around in circles coming out with the same propaganda and anti Israel rhetoric.

Hamas could have had peace they chose rockets instead. Hatred stops you from seeing the truth.

I can do better than that,

Mind you the source is rather pro arab.

  2. I think its down to the finance guy/girl who comes out.

    ...

It could well have been the issue in our case. The rep was young and pretty, and seemed to have an attitude about how 'special' she is. That was my wife's impression of her.

But it seemed like the back-office may have had service issues as well. I guess we'll never know exactly the reasons which caused the problems.

Its down how loans people submit your application, then the back office acts on it.

In my case, about the salary, guy told me how much i need to earn, instead of asking me :)

Few other questions, he also advised what answers should be.

But when paperwork is incomplete or filled out with errors, is when back office starts to runs checks etc etc.

I can not say 100% this is how they work, but from what i seen i figured it must be.

  3. Time to charge Israel for war crimes. Don't be distracted by the rubbish about rockets fired from Gaza. How many civilians did they kill?

Selective reading as usual. Rockets fired or stored in UN locations
Is there any place in Gaza that you can hide and shoot rockets from that isnt in a overpopulated area?

That human shield myth you tell is as true as Israelis harvesting arab internal organs.

Now its your turn to respond with this: So why cant they just stop shooting rockets then?

Sorry did not realise shooting rockets was mandatory

  4. Time to charge Israel for war crimes. Don't be distracted by the rubbish about rockets fired from Gaza. How many civilians did they kill?

    Quote from OP :

"Spokesman Chris Gunness added, "In none of the schools which were hit directly or in the immediate vicinity, were weapons discovered or fired from."

"No prior warning had been given by the government of Israel of the firing of 155 MM high explosive projectiles on, or in the surrounding area of the school," the inquiry says.

I am glad you approve of this source, I must say it comes as a shock

  5. I think its down to the finance guy/girl who comes out.

In my experience, sometimes they can make it easy and painless and sometimes turn it into a living nightmare, either due to total incompetence or just plane laziness.

I remember wanting to buy big bike, finance went through Krungsi.

The first rep did all very easy, however quit half way through the process and the whole thing turned into a nightmare.

Used Tanachart for my car and it was pretty painless. Kept the number of that rep and now whenever want to finance something call him to find out where he works and go through them.

Funny enough, he changes jobs every 5-6 months

  6. I was responding to your question, "Could you name someone executed in U.S. for taking drugs out of US or mentally ill?" Mentally ill - not drugs. If you don't want an answer don't ask the question.

1 of your cases killed 2 people, spared life the first time.

second of your cases said he was glad he killed someone.

Little different to not know what is going on, do not you think?

  7. The ill-informed, zenophobic and downright stupid posts in this thread are enough to drive a teetotaler to drink.

For God's sake, the issue presumably is a technical one about whether or not the correct amount of tax has been paid. That is a matter best left to the appropriate authorities/courts.

Thailand IS NOT unique = tax disputes are common in every country - especially when economic times ain't great.

I note that today's news reports that the Australian Tax Office reckons BHP owes an addition US$550 million in unpaid income taxes. Do you cretins think BHP will walk away from its Pilbara iron ore mines?

The final determination of tax properly due is properly left to the appropriate authorities in each country matter (of course, this may practically pose challenges, but the principle is crystal clear), It has SFA to do with (a) nationality of the taxpayer; (cool.png country of dispute; © amount of investment; (d) feigned consequences.

In addition, Non-brain-dead folks know there is tremendous international attention now on resolving BEPS (Base Erosiion of Profit Split) - ie, ensuring in the future that major MNCs pay tax not just according to 'law', but perhaps where the profits are actually made.

<deleted> grow up and get informed.

You are correct, tax disputes are common, However in this case tax dispute is because government changed the rules after the fact, but wants to back date it.

As i said, in my post, i do not believe Toyota will walk away, however it may shift 1 model manufacturing to another plant to save on taxes, just as BHP may and most likely will make changes to avoid hefty tax bills in the future.

I am also unsure how and why you compare BHP income taxes to Toyota import taxes? But i guess only smart people like you would understand it.coffee1.gif

  8. Did one of Hamas members made an official statement of the dispute ?

Or, do we trust a Chinese tabloid who never went to Palestina ?

They would question your source if it was a rumour about internal problems in the jewish government, if it was a journalist writing for a "Arab-friendly" news agency, thats always fair game.

The other way around is a no no, its sacred.

Fakistinia? I like it when they question the historical name of the inhabited region called Palestine and try to make it an issue by asking what Palestine is called in arabic, as if it even proves a point. Palestine is called Felestin/Filistin by Arabs, so what? And dont forget that they drink Bebsi too.

Well written, i especially like the part where you acknowledge it was a REGION, not a country or a nation and the best part that it was inhabitedthumbsup.gif

The funny part is your like is from someone who always argues it was a country with arabs living there.

  9. If hard drugs were legalized and controlled by the government, they would be so cheap that addicts would not need to turn to crime. I am with Rand Paul on this.

Yep and there would be thousands more addicts hooked on the cheap easy to get legal drugs who could never hold down a job who would still need to get money to feed their addiction.

But to get back on topic :

I see in Indonesia that the first execution was carried out 1973 and on average 10 death sentences are handed down per year but very few are carried out.

In more recent times 4 executions were carried out in 2013 and none in 2014. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Indonesia

Indonesia is being made out as an barbaric state in this while other countries which are far worse are all but ignored, for instance Saudi Arabia has executed (beheaded) on average 80 per year in recent times with 45 so far this year but they don't seem to get the same attention as Indonesia.

    Soft target ?

When they started the picture on cigarette boxes and heavy advertising campaigns, apparently according to all stats worldwide, number of smokers has reduced dramatically.

Price rises did not affect smokers rate.

See where i am going with this?

I think you will find the reason for outcry is the fact that all people on death row in current line up have good reasons NOT to be executed and yet they are.

All people have made world news with number of offers from respective nations.

Hardly any cases from Saudi or China make world news and hardly any of them have PM's and Presidents of other countries asking NOT too.

If you really believe Indo is not barbaric, you should read up a little.

Were you aware that one of the bombers in Bali has already been released? He is responsible for deaths of at least 25 people and he is already walking free, while say Australians who were smuggling OUT of Indo and served 10 years are getting killed.

Which crime deserves death? murder of 25 people or drugs being taken OUT FROM the country?

  10. I hope UN would do the same to the U.S. and their executions. But guess UN would not interfere with the U.S. Republicans, it may back fire since UN is so hated by them.

Could you name someone executed in U.S. for taking drugs out of US or mentally ill?

Totally agree, not only that but if governments spend as much money on education and rehab as they do on so called fighting drugs there surely would be less addicts and over dose , not even mentioning huge reduction in crime from both users and sellers.

I disagree. I was a child of the 60's and I saw too many of my friends get hooked on drugs and literally drop out. These guys and gals dropped out of work and any productivity and they:

Turned to crime to support themselves for food, shelter and so on. They just stopped functioning.

You may have missed the point both of us 'quoted" made.

If drugs were not illegal, it would not only be cheaper but help would available.

Your friend would not need to turn to crime to make money for drugs, because it would have been affordable for him and may be if there was endless education and help centers, he would not have turned into a junkie.

  13. Why? Druggie scum gotta pay the price.

You are sick. What if they were your kids???

I have seen first hand how heroin destroys family and lives, and the Bali nine was smuggling enough to ruin thousands and lives and families, and they were NOT ignorant mules. They are scum indeed.

So would you call junkies to be the victims?

Who ruin thousands of lives and families? the junkies who using it or people who facilitate the habit?

Does anyone force a gun to junkies head to start using it and to continue? or is it their choice in the first place.

Like the never ending stupidity to blame gun manufactures, Guns do not kill other people, people kill other people.

Yes they deserve to be punished, but they certainly do not deserve to be killed.

Indonesia claims to have a drug problem, Well its an internal problem. In this case they were not bringing drugs in, they were taking them out, which also means they bought it from an Indonesian.

  14. I must confess, originally i did not mind and often said, well its the law of that country so deal with the consequences.

However after following the story and reading from the start , i have changed my mind because on this case, its totally wrong.

    1. Australians were caught smuggling OUT of Indonesia, NOT into. They were only caught because one of the parents contacted Australian Federal Police.

    2. There 2 guys have changed 100000%, they did not turn into thugs but turned into very good people, helping hundreds of inmates.

    3. The Brazilian is mentally ill, its a fact. Executing mentally ill people is simply wrong. There are reports that he does not even understand that he is about to be killed.

    4. Philippine girl was taken shopping by her new boss who bought her clothing and "suitcase" which turned out to be stuffed with drugs.

None of this people are some major drug dealers or any danger to Indonesian security or threat to Indonesian society.

Governments of respective countries made countless pleas and offers, only all to fall in deaf ears.

And the biggest slap was to issue the 72 hour death notice on Anzac Day to 2 Australians. Killing them is not enough, Indonesia also wanted to insult the country as well.

It doesn't matter whether the drugs were being exported or imported, it's still a capital offence.

Of course the two Australians who will be executed will do everything to give the impression that they have changed, they don't want to be executed. They haven't turned into "very good people", they're convicted drugs offenders who showed no regret for their actions trying to hoodwink authorities.

Both of these Australians were major drug traffickers who remain drug traffickers trying to get out of what they deserve.

You make a bald statement with absolute certainty regarding Australians being major drug smugglers and them showing no regret.

I would not expect to hear back from or to hear anything logical, but just to confirm your never ending trolling, could you please provide links or some kind of evidence to support your statements?

Surely being as confident as your statement, you would be able to provide proof they have shown no regret and surely you can provide some evidence that they were major drug traffickers

Now on to the next statement.

Logically, which i am not sure you poses, there is a good reason why sniffer dogs and most efforts go into inspecting good and people coming INTO the country not OUT of the country. Why?

Again, using little logic, because if its going out of the country, it posses no threat to the country.

So logically, it does make a huge difference.

Perhaps you would like to share your thoughts and logic on mentally sick Brazilian being given the death sentence?whistling.gif
