What is the biggest mistake in life ?

Then your toast and life as you know it or hoped to know it ends up with you being a traveler staying 4 days here, 3 days there, especially when your stocks and crypto have tanked.......staying in cheap hotels or living Thai style. -
Phuket welcomes new direct flight from Russia
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Fighters and there Families relaxing together before they either die or do a runner staying in the country. One wonders what they had to sign away in Russia before being allowed to travel based upon the current conscription? -
Life is to short to let your country be swallowed by another who aligned itself by the one knocking on your door like Germany was doing to Russia. Now it is Russia that is trying to be the instigator and steal land, but then Thailand does not see it that way. Thailand's only concern is tourism and many do not want Thailand to sell land, well 1 Rai, to foreigners even though China has swallowed up Laos, Cambodia, etc... using it's belt and road scheme. THailand is playing both ends against the middle and one day it will truly bite them.

Just ensure the 800K Thb is in the bank 2 months prior to the extension, after that it can be reduced to 400k Thb, but then 3 moths before the next extension it needs to be brought back up to 800K Thb. I just put the 800K in a fixed deposit account that earned a pittance of interest and left it there year around for the past 3 years. I just closed that account and invested it elsewhere.

That is one of the things they like about making the insurance mandatory is that you use the TGIA providers. I have PCH for my insurer, and they automatically upload it into the Immigration Insurance base, so even making you bring a copy of your policy for the next year when you do an extension of stay they compare it to the database to ensure it is a current policy and not something you made up.... IF you obtain the O-A visa from outside of the country there are so many other items they want, like a police background check, your insurance, a medical certificate, your bank statement, and flight info. Of course it is an ME Visa and as long as your flying in and out without turning it into an extension of stay you can get 2 years out of it. That was why I used to use it, and never extended in country, just renewed every 2 years, yet Covid closures saw to it that I could not fly back and forth so I just did an extension and did that in 2020, 2021 and now I have the LTR so no more trips to immigration for an annual extension.

R&R Flights for those who have been on the front lines maybe....... -
Who will be crying poor. the staff, the management? I don't think they are even a part of the picture. Follow the money and look for who the owner/s might be then get back to us. If it is a cheap hotel owned by 1 person who never re-invests the profits back into the business and so on then the owner is obviously making money after a certain point, and better yet is the hotel truly registered as a hotel with the government or is it seen as a guest house and therefore one of the hundreds of unregistered locations. Better check also to see if they have done a TM-30 for your short stay.

German man in north sets fire to pick-up after argument with wife
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
The way the OP reads is he had a fight with the wife, who then called the police, and as he was so upset he set the car on fire and then hung himself. I fail to see how else the Op could have been written. Are you saying it should have read, Man commits suicide after having a fight with his wife and setting the vehicle on fire? At the end of the day the story is lacing in much substance and sreams of the need for help with a mental health issue. -
We had the same experience with my elderly friends 90 day report after obtaining his new passport and then having the stamps moved, which I indicated in my previous post I had helped him do. Off course the online 90 day was rejected as I feared, and so I took the new passport, with the old passport, and his expiring 90 day TM47 to Immigration and was successful in getting his new 90 day done for him. The I/O asked me why he did not come himself and I indicated that as he was elderly and feeling under the weather he had me do it for him as I am his friend and neighbor here in Bangkok. The I/O just smiled and then completed his new 90 day report which now expires the 25th of January, so he is good to go. I asked the I/O if he would be able to do his next report on-line and she indicated he should be able to, but it might take a second trip to CW to get the system to accept it. I hope that he can do it on-line next time, if not I guess I will be taking him or his PP and TM47 application back to CW in January. Luckily now that I have the new LTRWP Visa I am not required to do 90 day reports, just a yearly report, which I wonder if the time comes can be done on-line or in Hua Hin instead of coming back to Bangkok to Chamchuri Square BOI Immigration....

And elsewhere where Thai's can buy land in other countries, did there ancestors die for the country they now own land in. Speaking of WW2 how many foreigners died on land in Thailand killed by the Japanese as they were forced to build the Bridge over the River in Kanchanaburi, and how many foreigners died removing the Japanese from Thailand? Does anyone see the naivety and staunch selfishness by those who other countries saved?

So as more on this story develops it appears the assailant had a list of others he was planning on attacking as well. Suspect in Paul Pelosi attack had list of targets, law enforcement sources say (msn.com) David Wayne DePape, the man accused of beating Paul Pelosi with a hammer inside his San Francisco home overnight on Friday, may have been planning to attack more people, the sources said. They have not gone so far as to call the list a "hit list," but authorities believe the suspect may have been planning to target others, the sources said.

Thai government defends foreign land ownership plan
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What are you on about. I live in Thailand, I have a LTRWP visa, and if I wanted could buy land, but for 40 Mthb they can stuff it. I own a home and condo here already.
