First notice was on the 12th when they requested the Photo. Then on the 19th when the requested my insurance policy. On the 20th I received my approval. The rest was done by phone calls. The system still shows my apucation as pre-approval but nothing else even though it was issued. Call the main number, give them your LTR number and they shod get you to the person doing your application. The system has major issues still.

Applied for the LTRWP on September 2nd, approved on the 20th I believe, submitted location for affixation, did not hear back in the 2 day window. I just had the notification under the bell above my login to make appointment. I could not use tge system to make the appointment so I called in and made it. I listed this in my followup I posted. Affixation of visa stamp was October 7th.

We start to decorate the day after we celebrate Thanksgiving here after the Turkey has been eaten and I pull out the decorations. I have a 6' tall fake tree that has lights, and we decorate it while listening to Christmas music streaming from my Amazon Echo and Bang & Olufsen Speakers. The GF loves to deck the hall's with all of the Christmas spirit she has learned over the years. We will have a Christmas Ham this year, which I will order from Villa and have Scalloped Potatoes, green bean salad and homemade applesauce.

Yet if you can buy it without a loan, and keep up on the maintenance then its a great idea. I would not buy here to turn around and rent. My two places I go back and forth to. My House I sold in the US was bought for 135K USD, Sold it 20 years later for 650K USD. My Stocks did not keep up with my house appreciation during that time due to the two hits the market took. Even though the housing bubble burst as well, it never affected my house based upon the facts of location, location, location. Buying a house/condo is not for everyone, but it does work out, well in my case it has.

If Under 50 and not qualifying under The Work from Thailand LTR Visa or the other one For High Skilled professionals, as they are unable to meet the qualifications then I would agree with you, but if over 50 as I know many are and having the 80K USD a year minimum This LTR Visa makes more sense. Sure there are other Visas that people can fit into but I still this one as having value for those that qualify over obtaining the TE Visa

I think he was possibly saying you did not need a Thai policy and could be from outside, and that way it would not require a policy from here nor a deposit into an account here, at least thats the way I read it.
