Many of the companies here in BKK will also ship you one if thats what you want. I also wonder if any hospitals might have an older one that they are replacing.

Well some more reading for you, If the EU and the rest of the world is seeing this you can sure bet it is the same here, but then you do not care, your freedoms are all that matter. https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/technology/science/we-are-at-the-start-of-the-third-wave-warning-as-covid19-case-numbers-rise-sharply/news-story/be718f4e1dbdf78f2e5ad22fab432478 “I’m concerned about this picture and I am calling on the community to do a few things to protect yourself and each other,” she said, urging residents to ensure they were vaccinated. “Isolate if you’re sick and get tested, wear a mask when indoors and around other people and know if antivirals are recommended from you,” Dr Chant said. “So please wear a mask in indoor areas around other people outside your home, including public transport, pharmacies and shops. Masks, while protecting yourself, can also protect other people.” https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-news/people-urged-wear-masks-again-24389809 The public is once again being urged to consider wearing a face covering in crowded places as Covid cases surge. There are concerns that the number of people hospitalised with the virus will hit an 18-month high. Dame Dr Jenny Harries, who is chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency, said the latest increase was yet to peak. She predicted it was "quite likely" that hospitalisations will surpass the previous wave in the spring

The letters not 4 years old, that was the date I started to receive my lifetime pension and tge monthly amount only increases as COLA are added. It is a Defined Benefit pension. Look that one up, very rare these days. Here's your definition of what it is. A defined benefit (DB) pension scheme is one where the amount you're paid is based on how many years you've been a member of the employer's scheme and the salary you've earned when you leave or retire. They pay out a secure income for life which increases each year in line with inflation.

Your view, so lets agree to disagree, as masks have been worn, look at some history. Asia is a different animal compared to the west. -

You just never paid attention as I said before, you just like to believe your right when your wrong on this one. We have worn them, my Thai family has worn them for many many years. The Thais around us also wore them during the Bird Flu and the SARS scare in 2017 as well. I fact I even wore them with my family on the flights from Korea to BKK in 2017 when we came for a family visit. Thais have worn masks for many reasons one reason was during the 2003 bird flu crisis, and in 2006 along with SARS in 2017. https://focusweb.org/the-politics-of-bird-flu-in-thailand/ Thais have worn masks for many reasons one reason was during the 2003 bird flu crisis, and in 2006 along with SARS in 2017. https://www.voanews.com/a/science-health_coronavirus-outbreak_not-just-coronavirus-asians-have-worn-face-masks-decades/6185597.html https://www.huffpost.com/entry/east-asian-countries-face-masks-before-covid_l_5f63a43fc5b61845586837f4 -

You better do some research my friend the hospitals are having in increase in covid patients. Just watched the PPTV evening news where it was discussed. Also an article in the paper we can not link to but here is this for your edification https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/covid-hospitalisations-rising-in-thailand-but-ccsa-says-no-new-preventative-measures https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40017376 Dr Chakkarat Pittayawonganon, director of DDC’s Bureau of Epidemiology, said the number of Covid-19 patients being hospitalised has risen in Bangkok and surrounding areas, as well as in provinces popular with tourists. However, he said, the hospital bed occupancy rate is at 20 to 30 per cent, far lower than the 50-per cent limit. He also said there is plenty of medical supplies to treat all Covid-19 patients. “There will be a small Covid-19 wave from July 1, pushing up the number of patients requiring treatment,” he said. -
I wonder if my Pensions, annual Verification of Income letter which includes the following will be accepted. Cut straight from the letter. "Our records indicate that: • The participant began receiving a lifetime Defined Benefit on October 05, 2018. The current gross monthly benefit amount is $xx,xxx,xx" You wanted someone to discuss a pension so here you go. But why should I list how much it states. It is over 80k a year is all that's needed for your edification.

Tourism ministry dual pricing proposal for hotel rates
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not just Social Media my friend local hoteliers are also coming out against the proposal https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/i-dont-think-its-fair-hotels-dismiss-call-to-charge-foreigners-more-than-thais/ Several hotels today rejected a proposal to formalize dual-pricing at hotels as discriminatory and counterproductive. After the Tourism and Sports Ministry announced it would encourage hotels nationwide to charge foreign nationals higher rates, three hotel representatives today dismissed the proposal as unhelpful and unfair. “I don’t think it’s fair,” Nutnicha commented. “Whether we are Thai or foreigner, we should all pay the same rates.” https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-07-06/thailand-may-get-pricier-for-tourists-with-dual-hotel-rates https://finance.yahoo.com/news/thailand-may-pricier-tourists-dual-112342868.html https://investvine.com/thailand-plans-to-introduces-dual-hotel-price-system-for-foreign-tourists/ Now lets wait for tomorrows news reports from the west, EU, and UK. -

Why? You loose your home country citizenship and many would loose portions of pensions and SS. -
For one on the news this morning here in BKK, and then from reading articles which discuss the rising cases. You might want to do some research and find your own articles instead of expecting folks to lay it all out for you. I get so tired when people make statements without looking elsewhere to find the information, and hence make a type of personal attack like your post gets close to. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40017403 Bangkok deputy governor Tavida Kamolvej said on Tuesday that after the mask mandate in several public places was lifted last month, the city has found increasing infections among school children, especially those in elementary level and above. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/covid-19-infections-in-thailand-expected-to-peak-again-in-september/ Chief of the Disease Control Department’s Epidemiology Division Chakkarat Pittayawonganon said today (Tuesday) that data on infections from the 22nd to 26th weeks of this year clearly show a rising trend, especially in Bangkok and touristic provinces, despite fewer infections being reported by the government this week. He said that the infection curve will climb steeply, to its peak of about 4,000 cases a day in September, from about 2,000 cases this week, if the relaxation of COVID-19 measures since June remains unchanged, including voluntary mask wearing. https://www.chiangraitimes.com/health/thailands-covid-19-cases-rise/ The CCSA says that, since the face mask requirements were relaxed in public places, as well as pubs and bars reopening, lung infections have increased from 598 to 684 cases and those who require ventilators from 288 to 292.

You unfortunately have to adapt and move along with the times. As much as I would like to stay stuck in the past I must move forward or get trampled by the process of moving forward. How do you think Rumpelstiltskin would feel waking up in todays time. -

If all they are talking about is putting prices back into line with what they were in 2019, is that not the same if the booking companies give all and everyone discounts like they did before? I just stayed at the Sheraton Pranburi Villas for a few days. When I looked at my Marriott account and pulled up the receipt from 3 years ago when I was there, I actually paid a little more this time. Room Revenue Tax, Vat, Provincial Tax, and service charges all were a little higher this time. I had never heard of Room Revenue before or been charged it, but I was this time. Overall I paid about 3200 Thb more than 3 years ago. Not an issue as I just equated it to operating costs. Booked through Agoda as well and upon arrival gave them my Marriott Bonvoy card so the stay could be added to my folio. If they are truly trying to make it dual pricing and double what I have been paying, well then, even though I could pay it, why would I want to give the Government the money instead of the resort. Standby for Golf prices to Double.
