Exactly what's your game? I use the numbers given by the MOPH and published herein these pages and in the media, even when we know they are not completely correct based upon the testing that they are not doing and then the fact that they are not counting the ATK positives as a case. Yesterdays Udon Thani cases were below 100, yet today they are back up again. The numbers in Udon Thani porpoise continually, up one day down the next, and so on. I have no clue, nor do I know the reasons for the climb in some of the areas, and neither do you. Either accept the fact that the reality is what it is, and the reduction in testing via PCR is one of the reasons the actual daily cases are down at this point. Could it just be a weekend blip for total cases, while some areas have grown upwards, well that is anybody's guess. They have the potential and ability to complete and process 100,000 tests a day. Why they are not is a mystery to me and many others. Maybe you have the answers to that one. I follow Udon Thani because that is where many of my family, well my ex-wife's family, lives and I am still friends with them and others in the family. Do I believe that the actual numbers are what is actually published, well no I do not, but I have no other numbers to go on and make my comments based upon what can be seen from those published. You want to believe they are all going down, well good on your view, it is just not my view at this point. Would I like to see it go down, Yes I would. Would I like for the restrictions to be lifted, of course, but then we have to look at the risk involved. Are the numbers down also because of the Bubble and Seal being used on factories and companies and thus numbers are not being reported or tested in those facilities, well we may never know now will we. To me it is all smoke and mirrors. The same goes with the vaccinations. Watching Channel 3 news right now and they are reviewing the numbers stated as being vaccinated and are finding an issue with clarity as folks receiving boosters are being counted in those stats as well which is causing some confusion. A doctor interviewed is stating that the numbers may be off by as many as 5 million vaccinations and whatever they are going to do they need to up the vaccinations by 5 million more a month to get ahead of a new potential wave.

The reasoning is they need to save money for the grand reopening of Thsiland and the money can not be spent on a waning virus. Well waning due to reduced testing in my book.

Can you show me one post or please quote anyone of us that has said we did not appreciate the work and efforts the hospitals, nurses, volunteers or even the doctors are doing? Your off tangent comment about "Sad indictment of society today and the type of people who frequent these forums nowadays that they want to laugh at people who mock them" is unwarranted. Daily many of us post on here about what is being done in regards to Covid activities. Reality is what it is, Yes people are being vaccinated, happy for that and never have I said different. Have I disagreed with your view, sure I have, have you disagreed with mine, of course. Do we agree to disagree, yes we do. The situation in regards to the daily deaths and Covid cases is fluid, where you have reduced PCR testing and falling numbers then we can extrapolate why the numbers are going down especially when the numbers of positive ATK rapid tests is increasing. Nothing but the truth and reality in my view. If I am wrong I always admit it and apologize. I am hopeful that we will eventually see the numbers truly dropping, I however just do not see that the time is now as there are too many variables which say otherwise. As always Stay safe

Putting on a brave face, and stating an inability is what the man is doing. Wishful thinking on his part. I do understand his frustration in meeting his own goals. I once told my friends I would have a million dollars by the time I was 30. Instead I had earned a million dollars over a 10 year period but had nothing to show for it as I had spent it all to sustain life as a family man with 3 children........fast forward 25 years and my Crypto portfolio showed 1 million plus, but then as we know sometimes what is on paper is not actually available to put in ones hand, just like TAT Governor Suphasorn's target of 1 million foreign tourists.........My view of course.

I have never seen a death certificate given to my Thai family in all the years I have been here. The local village headman with a local police office recorded the death and that's the end of it. Now if they died in the hospital then that's a different story then if dying at home like my grandfather, grandmother, aunts, and uncles, did surrounded by family.

Have to get their numbers down in order to meet the Good PM's October opening date for all of the country. Less testing and fewer cases, especially with using the ATK test kits and forcing isolation onto the factory workers and companies by using the bubble and seal method. Out of sight and out of mind is my way of looking at what is happening and ignoring the facts will not make the country any safer. Lets now think about the bubble and seal method for students they are looking at, does one really think that that is a viable solution. If they wish to take the risk then just open up to all vaccinated people, allow the restaurants to open, serve alcohol with meals, and allow people to gather in numbers such as families to celebrate the deceased and then for holidays. Lets see....hmmm if they did that then we would see a repeat of this current wave we are riding. Of course that is my view, and without a true stimulus package for the Thai people, well then the death of Thailand will be at hand unless they do something, either one way or another. Stay safe folks, and lets hope the vaccinations pick up.

Of course they need their 3 sushi filled meals, and high end foods delivered and ergo why its 1k a day, as they also must have direct access to the on-line monitors and medications are sent by rapid courier Drones, with video conferencing with those mental health officials to talk with about how their life has been affected and they feel like a mere mortal..

Some people want to see it survive, but well others know the truth of cases growing. Does not seem this Government cares much about safety of its citizens, economics is more important as far as money goes. Vacvinations be damned. Yet Vietnam is going the distance with their lockdowns and locking them in, well in Ho Chi Min City effective tomorrow at least, and no they are not readying to open for tourism or open new hotels like Thailand is. A stark comparison.

Yet the Hotels like Marriot, Aetas, SO Bangkok, and a few other large ones have been shut now here in Bangkok for most of 2020, and this year as well. Nothing like an empty hotel with hundred's of rooms, restaurants and all staff laid off. Why build new ones, or why build new condos, the answer is they either have money to burn in order to take a write-off or they really expect SE Asia and Thailand to grow in tourism more than it did before. I think it will take many, many years to recover, and these locations will sit unused or still un-opened.

Why not use it, they still are taking the deceased to refrigerated containers before they can be sent for a cremation. Did you want a photo of Rainbows and unicorns instead. I mean it's not a good photo for the families of people who are dying, but it is reality.
