Report Famous Pattaya Club Raided: 18 Detained for Drug Abuse
GanDoonToonPet replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Lock them up and throw away the key 🤣 -
Interesting. I recently signed up after getting a new sim and didn't know that. Got some good discounts on there recently including Coles Olive Oil Spread, Coles English Mustard (not very good) and 2 for 1 on Pringles. Also, they're the only place that still does Salt & Vinegar crisps at a reasonable price. 😂 There's a big squeezy bottle of Coles Mayonaisse at a reasonable price but I'm a bit hesitant after the mustard. 🤔

UK Corbyn and Sultana Launch New Hard-Left Party to Challenge Labour
GanDoonToonPet replied to Social Media's topic in World News
...but not a big difference in behaviour and ideology though. They want equality of outcome at all costs which is both illiberal and authoritarian. They're a wolf in sheeps' clothing. I notice they've dropped the 'liberal' and just call themselves 'progressives' now. Why not go the whole hog and change it to 'regressive authoritarians'? 🤔 -

At my first school in Thailand, I saw a Thai teacher walking backwards into a lift. I was convinced I was dreaming until I saw the same thing happen at my next school. Later, I saw it happen again in a school in China. Guess it's an East Asian thing. 🤔

I was referring to the 'progressive' liberal virus that is currently being cleansed from our institutions. -

Start a new socialist party just as the country is bouncing back from a failed communist takeover? These people really do live in their own world. 🤔 -
Have you tried their YouTube channel? 🤔

Things thai people do that make no sense
GanDoonToonPet replied to angryguy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
1. Taking shoes off before entering the house then after entering the house, picking something up off a dirty floor and putting it on a food preparation surface. 2. Leaving shoes in front of the door. Not just to the left of the door. Not just to the right of the door. Must be left where they can do maximum damage. -
USA UPenn ban trans athletes after probe involving swimmer Lia Thomas

Thank Buddha this madness is coming to an end. Male and Female are categories in a biological classification system of organisms that reproduce sexually. Men and women are separated in sport for biological reasons. If a man wants to disable himself by taking hormones then create a category in the Special Olympics, or they can compete in the mens' category. Intersex people, the vast majority of whom are male and female, should compete in the category dictated by their sex chromosomes. There is only one type of intersex condition (Swyer's Syndrome) where someone has a Y chromosome but does not go through male puberty. Sorry but we should not change the world for 0.0013% of the population. 🤔 -
What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
GanDoonToonPet replied to Rimmer's topic in Entertainment
Came across these two which I can't believe I missed. Big fan of Crocodile Dundee when I was a kid 😂 This one very much in the style of the first two. A few good un-PC jokes. Breath of fresh air. This one's a bit cringe. Only for the die hard fans. Could only find it on FlixHQ. All torrents are dead for some reason. -
UK Noel Gallagher Slams Glastonbury as ‘Woke’ and ‘Virtue-Signalling’

Showing your lack of knowledge there, old man. Noel is famously the clean living one. He's not his brother's keeper. -
Cambodia Scraps Passport Stamps with New Digital ‘v-Pass’

Great stuff. Now, if you get an e-visa, there'll be absolutely nothing added to your passport. 😇 -
Immigration problems with DTV?
GanDoonToonPet replied to ChristianPFC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Incompetence and / or lack of training is no excuse. If someone has met the requirements to be issued with the visa, and is legally using it, then they shouldn't be asked such questions upon entry. -
...and the prize for worst mis-reading of the room goes to... They might have got away with it a few years ago but times are changing.

Visa run limits

...and when you go to a shop to buy a TV, pay them ฿4000+ for the privilege of giving them your custom. After that, you can buy as many TVs as you want. 🤔 -
Visa run limits
GanDoonToonPet replied to wornoutcowboy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I agree with above that it's not a good time for your plan. You'll be OK for the first 1-2 months but returning is a major problem now. Firstly, the Cambodian borders are closed so there's no quick, easy land border runs available. Secondly, if you fly back in you'll have a high risk of being denied entry. This is because corrupt officials at the airports benefit from a 'safe entry' scam, which costs ฿5000+, so gives them all the reasons they need to deny you entry. I spent 6 months here last year, as a tourist on VE, followed by 6 months back in the UK. Upon return, I was grilled at immigration about how long I was staying, what I was doing here (doh!) and told 'you can't keep doing this'. If you want my advice, enjoy your short stay in Thailand and never come back. -
Should I return to the UK - difficult decision!
GanDoonToonPet replied to simon43's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Rent must be expensive in Somerset. The Local Housing Allowance for Teesside is £94.36 per week or about £400 a month. A decent 1 bedroom flat, not in the ghetto, costs £500+ a month. I didn't know about the utilities and broadband discount...have to look into that.
