  1. Severe Acne and a few other skin defects, but most people do it for the mid-life crisis to look younger, and removal of wrinkles and fine lines, which are a natural product of ageing. A refusal by some to grow old gracefully.
  2. So the ' usual suspects ' ( Muslims) try to bring this matter up on Australian soil?
  3. The Chinese ruined Sihanoukville and left it unhabitable and suffering even more lawlessness than before. There are partially constructed buildings that have been left and will never be completed once the authorities clamped down on Casino gambling, which in turn was replaced by call centres, slave labour and racketeering. The original Cambodians were pushed out and relocated years ago when it became unaffordable for them. Anything that Sihanoukville had to offer, which wasn't a great deal, has now gone. Quite a large number of failed Thailand expats now trawl the streets of Phnom Penn and Siem Reap as the visa arrangements are much easier and no need for cash in the bank.
  4. What a ridiculous and weird response to a report on a man being involved in an unprovoked attack from behind. Revoke his visa????? on what grounds? an innocent man sitting on a pavement minding his own business, and captured by CCTV, who suffered extreme violence from a lunatic, who has developed a reputation for similar attacks on people he doesn't know. Are you reading the same news as the rest of us? Have you never heard of gratuitous violence?
  5. There should be a big shout out to his friend Mr Lemmens who has closely followed and stayed in touch with the authorities, filing police reports against the assailant, dealing with the hospital formalities and caring for the wellbeing of Mr Jan, whilst he is incapacitated. He is also trying to update the man's family. He flew out to Thailand on hearing the bad news to be at his close friend's bedside. We could all do with good pals such as that in our hour of need.
  6. I've seen a lot of lunatics in Phnom Penn and Siem Reap also, especially these last couple of years. Local Cambodians have noticed and commented about the foreigners who can no longer maintain the financial conditions to stay in Thailand.
  7. No, There are many decent farangs, it's just because they are decent that they keep a low profile and are overshadowed by the ones that are not.
  8. It does seem by the reports that attempted murder charges would be justified. Members have commented that this German has attacked multiple foreigners. It seems to me he has a screw loose and seems to think he is above and beyond the law, a common misconception when they get away with extreme violence a few times. And so much for his highly skilled martial arts which involved attacking a 63-year-old Belgian man from behind. We have ways of dealing with these people where I come from. I hope the Belgian chap recovers well and gets the justice he deserves, nothing warrants this type of behaviour when they say the attack was completely unprovoked.
  9. The guy sounds psychotic. Let's hear more of the story. The problem with these people who fancy themselves as mafia types is it all comes home to roost. They are trying to put themselves in one of the reserved occupations, currently occupied by the Thai police.
  10. They'll heavily rely on AI to assist them because there isn't much real intelligence running this country.
  11. This is just an example of his contempt towards the law and those he considers beneath him.
  12. We know it's unethical, but it is impossible to change this system, it's in their DNA. It is rotten to the core. This Deputy PM, who doubles up as interior minister had decided and made his decision on the matter of the Swiss guy. So, it's game over, and he has more or less announced that by saying ' Go home and don't waste your time on an appeal ' The Swiss guy's goose is cooked as far as ever operating that business again and whatever other restrictions are put on him depending on, and decided by the courts regarding re-entry. I think we can be fairly certain phone calls by influential figures will be made to the Judge handling the case too, rightly or wrongly.
  13. I wonder what the freight charges are for an elephant to Switzerland?
  14. Just by reading this thread, it has shown that there are some sick individuals on this forum. We get all these self-righteous people on here spouting how to behave in a country where we are guests, and then a man in his early thirties meets his unfortunate demise, and this is their reaction, to be greeted with sick jokes, sarcasm and attempts at gallows humour. Hope you are proud of your comments for a cheap giggle. He is somebody's son, brother, friend, and partner and all we get on here are sick jokes and people joking he deserved it due to having a drink too many, and casual mentions of two Burmese men, who have spent countless years in prison for a crime very few people believe they committed. I hope there is merit in the old saying ' What goes around, comes around ' RIP to the man and his family and loved ones.
  15. I am finding it a good stream, plain and simple, I have an email if any issues and a great picture as well as a very cheap price. Just around 1,000 baht for six months! Peanuts!
  16. I watched the Liverpool game last night with no issues.
  17. How could any of us forget, with all the AN posters desperate to defend Thailand to remind us?
  18. None of them in the Thai government, Police or Military consider themselves ' public servants ' they consider themselves masters over a public that needs them and their wisdom indefinitely.
  19. I hope you were not under the misguided impression that one would obtain justice in Thailand.
  20. Anyway, enough about Elephant man, what's happened about that young US kid playing naughty with a horsey!
  21. Yeah, His mate lives on the 24th floor in a condominium.
  22. Why don't YOU just make proper arrangements instead of ' passing the book? '
