    I saw, on Thai TV a couple of years ago, an 'on the spot' interview with a female street vendor who told the reporter she grossed around 30k per day every day selling clothing. The reporter expressed doubt but the woman boasted it was true. It is well known that many Thais don't pay income tax despite being liable. The revenue department dont have the resources to get them registered and make tax returns.

    Disabled access into Parliament is li limited. There is insufficient room for a crane jib to operate. A lack of sleeperette seating is also a deterrent.

    Do those complaining not understand that without the critical treatment at the Police Hospital his golf swing could have been damaged forever?

    There is some offset. Principal attendees usually pass an envelope containing cash to the bereaved which, according to the deceased's status, can be substantial but seldom enough to cover the total cost. The downside is that if the bereaved, in the future, attend a funeral of a donor's deceased relative, there is an obligation to make a similar offering or suffer unspoken loss of face.

    I get the impression that Chief Inspector Lorenzo is seen by his Met bosses as a bit to 'up and coming' so they jumped at sending him on an obscure mission to Thailand where the local BiB Generals appear unimressed by his crowd control tuition.😀
