Trump Praises Agreement with Mexico’s New President to Curb Migration

Lol! Trump is lying as usual! She said she was already stopping the caravan. Trump is trying to get credit from what happens under Biden. And of course, his gullible fans believe him! -
Trump Praises Agreement with Mexico’s New President to Curb Migration
candide replied to Social Media's topic in World News
And what are liars usually doing? 😀 Trump claims a win on immigration after a call with Mexico’s president. But she suggests no change "President-elect Donald Trump declared a win on stopping illegal immigration through Mexico on Wednesday after talking with that country’s leader. But Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum suggested Mexico was already doing its part and had no interest in closing its borders." https://apnews.com/article/trump-mexico-tariffs-sheinbaum-fentanyl-5fd2fc21950f47e5dbaf5c062c4725b7 Mexican President Clarifies Stance After Trump Says She Agreed To ‘Effectively’ Close Southern Border "Shortly after the call, Sheinbaum issued a statement on X saying she had an “excellent call” with Trump where she addressed Mexico’s strategy on the migration issue and informed him that “no caravans are arriving at the [U.S. southern] border because they are being attended to in Mexico.” https://www.forbes.com/sites/siladityaray/2024/11/28/mexican-president-clarifies-stance-after-trump-says-she-agreed-to-effectively-close-southern-border/ -

It's possible. That's what he did last time after he broke the NAFTA agreement. He got a few concessions, changed the name of the agreement, and claimed a big win! 😃 -
The reality is a bit more complex.. "According to Istat, Italy's national statistics agency, the country saw 334 murders in 2023, up 3.7% from the year before. Of the victims, 117 were women and 217 were men, and it's the male victims who account for the overall increase — a 10.7% rise since 2022, compared to a 7.1% decrease in female victims. Around 94.3% of the Italian women killed that year were victims of fellow Italians, according to the agency, and 43.8% of foreign women killed in Italy were victims of someone of the same nationality. The number of women killed by a partner or ex-partner stood at 63." https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/11/25/fact-check-is-illegal-immigration-to-blame-for-rising-sexual-violence-in-italy

It should be added that most drug is not smuggled through "holes", but through legal ports of entry. And 80% of smugglers were U.S. citizen. "The data are most relevant to understanding fentanyl seizure activity because the vast majority of fentanyl is seized at ports of entry, not between the ports where people cross illegally. Figure 2 breaks down fentanyl seizures by location. From FY 2015 to 2024, 88 percent of all fentanyl was seized at ports of entry, basically the same as in FY 2024. Another 4 percent was seized at vehicle checkpoints on highways after the ports. Only 8 percent was seized by Border Patrol on patrol, and many of those seizures came from vehicle stops as well." https://www.cato.org/blog/us-citizens-were-802-crossers-fentanyl-ports-entry-2019-2024 -
Frenchman’s trial unveils multi-million euro Rolex replica ring

I don't really like fake Rolex, I prefer fake Patel Philippe watches. They are more classy! 😅 -
Not an inventor, an innovator (the one who makes a business from inventions). He is indeed an impressive entrepreneur who has been ready to take risks. However the characteristics of an entrepreneur (one has to be a bit crazy, to make it short), are not the same as other jobs. A start up, by definition, srarts from scratch and has no past legacy to manage. For example, he failed to manage the mature business of twitter, which revenues have plunged. That also doesn't make him particularly relevant to manage an administration or a country.

Trump promised to decrease the national debt in 2016. That's probably the reason why Frank doesn't want to believe it. I don't remember he made that promise again in 2024, but he did promise to bring prices down. 😀 -

The beauty of the combination of Trump's policies (in case he really applies them): impose tariffs in order to increase domestic production, while creating a manpower shortage for domestic production by expelling immigrants (at the same time baby boomers are retiring). 😃 Oh and both policies are inflationist... -
W.P. Columnist Sparks Controversy With Fiery Claims Against Republicans
candide replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Ok, I get it. My understanding is that the OP was implicitly referring to the nomination of conspiracy theory proponents such as JFK. Jr. That 's why I mentioned conspiracy theories. About the other points you made. I agree with you about citing full posts and not editing them. However it was not a quote so I did not edit my post, One significant difference between the MAGA conspiracy theories and the conspiracy theories you mentioned, is what happened after they have been proven wrong. Ex. Hunters laptop. After the MSM ultimately got a copy of it to check, they analysed it and acknowledged the content was likely from Hunter. And the theory disappeared. That's a sharp contrast with MAGA theories being held despite being proven wrong. Ex the Big Lie is still claimed to be true, despite the fact that all lawsuits, recounts and audits failed. -
Yemeni Mercenaries Fighting for Russia's War Machine in Ukraine

If they stay alive, they are surely going to love the Russian winter! 😀 -
The NATO threat is a lame argument. What are the facts: before the invasion of Ukraine, - European countries had significantly reduced their defense budget 're GDP,, - the American military presence 8n Europe had also been significantly reduced, - nuclear weapon had not been moved nearer to Russia, they remained at the same place they were during the cold war.
