The variability in these reports suggests that when questioned as to the problem IO offices just make something up ,probably because they’ve no idea. After at least 2 years of seamless online reporting including after returning from abroad and no reporting of my return,my last 2 have been rejected which only coincides with the extension of my retirement visa in January. and everything brought up to date. The only tell is that on both occasions I didn’t receive a usual reminder email. When I asked them what the problem was after the first rejection,the guy at the desk just said "error" which I took to be with the system . This was at Korat office. I’ll ask again when I go in to do it,but not hopeful of getting a definitive,informative response! So is there a general malaise with the on line system throwing more of these rejections up or is it happening more at certain offices? TIT ??

Since they updated the site a couple of years ago on line was working well... until now. I did my annual extension in January after a trip abroad returning September after which it still worked in December. Same passport.But in both March and again this week I received the rejection. The only tell was that on both occasions I did not receive the reminder email as I'd always had previously. When I went in march I asked what the problem was and was just told " error ” , presumably in their systems. This was Korat office but I don't know if the problem relates to a local level or is fundamental to the central website. I'm thinking of simply trying again on Monday because I'm not due until 26th ( I always do the on line application soon after the 15 day previous window opens) Any feedback or information on what is going on if a wider issue?

The reality is a question of sexual orientation /desires which is largely outside of one’s control . Explaining why some people are gay and wouldn’t be attracted to the 20-30 year old woman. The essential and important difference is that where acting on those desires harms another individual and especially a child they simply have to resist that impulse. It is said that a paedophile can never be "cured" of those attractions but they can learn not to act on them. It is said that there are more people attracted to children but never act on it because they understand the harm it causes than those that do. In summary, it is not the attraction that they should be condemned for,because it’s out of their control, but certainly can be condemned for acting on them in the full knowledge of the harm it does.

Furthermore,if you make an absolute statement ,which you repeat, "suicide is selfish " without qualification you can’t then invoke exceptions when that statement is challenged. Nor berate others for not assuming that in reality you did have exceptions ,but left them unsaid. It appears that English lesson you sorely need should be supplemented by one in logic and clarity too.

I posit the trul selfish stance is trying to impose your beliefs on the wishes of others regarding their OWN life. It is theirs ,and theirs alone not yours.
