  1. Yes, I went there, filled in a form, paid 50 Baht, and 5 days later I could pick up my yellow WHO vaccine certificate. I noticed that on Google Navigation on Android it shows a wrong location; the office is in fact on the same road, but 2 crossings closer downtown and on the other side of the road. Google does not permit to copy it's link into here, but the building is very noticeable due to it's green facade. The address is indicated as Chiang Mai Provinciel Public Health Office, 10 Suthep Road, Tambon Su Thep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200. I can try with a screenshot. Good luck. Make sure you carry your passport on you as well.
  2. We were looking at gated communities but decided not to buy a house there. First of all, we didn't want a house style where the next 99 looked exactly the same. Secondly, the space between the houses for our taste is much to small almost everywhere. We decided to buy quite a piece of land (2 Rai) a bit outside of our city, thus it was our decision how far or how close any next neighbour would live. We have designed the layout and design of our house ourselves and built it without an architect, thus it is very unique.
  3. In Chiang Mai it's done by the Chiang Mai Provincial Public Health Office, 50 Baht, 5 days. https://www.chiangmaihealth.go.th/cmpho_web/
  4. I' dont know whether I'm allowed to mention company names here, but if I am, you can get it at Rimping, Promenada, Chiang Mai

  6. I have not heard that alcohol tax would be reduced in Thailand. But I remember that a nice Australian Cabernet-Sauvignon "The Wall" used to cost between THB 500 and THB 600 per bottle, but last week it was for sale at THE 399 - good buy!
  7. Correct: if you have no solution for something, you form a work group, and when their solution fails, you have someone to blame. This is management by cowards.
  8. What this arrogant and selfish creature does not (and will never) understand: it is HIS government that fails, and the people HE appointed for each project were HIS OWN CHOICE, so there is only ONE who is responsible and who has failed. Sadly, it's the one at the top, and not at the bottom of this government.
  9. 15,000 between November 1 and 5? My guess is rather 150, or 1,500 at most - Thailand is an unbeaten world champion in predicting wrong figures.....
  10. Unblock the alcohol sale to civilised and private restaurant and bar visitors, but exclude those Thonglor guys, notabene a good part of the whole parliament, which have caused the whole disaster.
  11. I understand this is meant to wait for the result of the PCR-Test taken upon arrival, but it is indeed nowhere mentioned what applies to those who have permanent residence in Thailand, and therefore most likely would not understand why they need a hotel on top of their own housing.
  12. I had my RT-PCR-Test taken at Bangkok Hospital, Chiang Mai, before 09:00 a.m., and got the result 19:30 p.m. same day. It did cost, however, THB 3,800. That was on 1st June 2021, and possibly it costs less meanwhile.

    TM28

CM is one of the provinces where TM30 is mandatory if returning from abroad. Did my last one mid July, and they would certainly have sent me away if not needed.
  14. I think a plumber is the one installing a pipe.....
  15. Yes, Fedex is in charge to complete the customs clearance on the receivers behalf, will settle any customs duty and/or VAT-amount with the customs authorities and re-collect the declared amount from the final receiver.
  16. They leave it vague by intention, making it easier to walk out backwards through the back door
  17. I cannot comment about transferring US$, as I'm transferring Swiss Francs. For this currency, It never takes more than 1, maximum 2 hours. The record transfer was done in just 23 minutes. I assume the delay in your case is caused by the slow domestic transfer from your US$ bank to US-Wise.
  18. Got 1st shot of AstraZeneca in CM on 7th August 2021; 2nd shot to follow on 30th October 2021, AstraZeneca as well.
  19. My experience was a completely different one, also in Zurich, end of June 2021. The guy checking my documents saw the retirement extension stamp in my passport, and said: "If you are residing in Thailand, you know better than me what you need", and off I was. Matter of 20 seconds.....
  20. Before you can make up your mind, you need to have one......
  21.
