Here I am in the Thai Roytal Silk lounge waiting for my Philippine Airline flight from Bangkok to Manila. this flight should have taken off at 13:50 and its now 1445. The actual departure is now 1650. The real time departurew shown on tv still state that this flight is still scheduled for 1:50pm. So very misleading and not to be trusted.

Of course it could be that the flight did leave and i missed it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here we go again. Bravado with no ideas = Major problems. The very least off your problems is the required work permit, and what makes you think that as a student you could provide the type of food that is saleable. suggestion save your (or your friends) money and think straight

I have a disturbing gut feeling that Swampy is still very vulnerable. if the reds should copy the yellows airport seige then i wonder if the military etc would react. If they dont then in my opinion will get worse, but if they do clamp down then clear warnings will have been sent

I have posted before about renewing my passport, going to Suan Phlu to get the chops restamped in my new passport. They refused to transfer my multi re entry saying that as it was issuied at Swampy it would have to be transferred there BUT no one could tell me where. Last friday I went to swampy and found that the old re entry office was manned but not open. a rather flustered lady told me to go to Samat Prakarn to get it done and after being told to leave I found another immigration Officer wandering around. Told him my problem and he said not a problem, just travel with two passports and use the original valid re entry permit. I explained that the passport holding that re entry permit was cancelled. He simply said no problem Permit is still valid. somehow I dont think I should hold my breath. Will query again at immigration when I depart on tuesday.

What a mess !!

For the life of me I cannot understand how people can run up such credit card bills. As someone else has said, if you cannot afford to buy using cash then dont bother. And for the record, I dont have a Credit Card

I posted this on another forum recently but got no responses. Last week I changed my passport and went to Suan Phlu to get entry chops changed across to new passport. I noticed that they did not transfer my multi re-entry which I challenged. I was told that as my re entry was originally issued at the airport, I would need to go there to transfer it to my new passport. BUT WHERE ??????

Went to Suan Phlu today to get rights of stay chops changed from old to new passport. Apart from bein g fckud about going from office to office and desk to desk, I eventually succeeded to get the new passport done.

I then noticed that my multi re entry valid until November had not been transferred to the new passport. Upon querying this, I was told that as the rentry had been issued at the Airport it must also be transferred there !!!!! But, I pointed out that the office was closed and now contained nothing more than cobwebs, but was told someone was there to do such jobs !!

Has anyone noticed any forlorn figure/s still moping around that office or was he trying to tell me that someone in the Airport can carry out the task ?

I can honestly say that I have never seen single packs of cigarettes on sale at King Power in the airpoprt. Cartons yes but single packets ????

After having a C section only 26 days ago, youir wife is not feeling on top of the world neither I would think. on top of that Asian mothers with new borns rely on family and friends to give her the support that she needs. The fact that you being a foreigner is not accepting the family "assistance" is driving you mental, but appears your wife accepts it.

I had this problem once and bank wanted to charge me a percentage to change. As I had over 5K in coins that would have been quite a lot. In the end I got round it by asking them to deposit in my account account

For the second time I have been forced to renew my passport as Immigration were sick and tired of trying to find the space for a chop

The last time i transferred the visas, I did it at the one stop office of the immigration in Ding daeng, but I understand now it has to be done in Nightmare City.

Can anyone give me an indication of how long its likely to take

As far as I am aware, Dream is available in Thailand. you are correct the channels are similar apart from a few bible bashing channels and Phils MTV, but as the package originates in the Phils cannot complain.
