I have over the years applied for with success the three month multi entry business visa, however I am now looking at being located in China full time as a Director of a Chinese registered company but I cannot find a visa that will allow me to stay for more than 30 days, meaning leave and return every 30 days which will be a total pain as well as expensive.
Anyone have any info on the wayu forward here. ?

As redscouse has said, located just off Chaeng Wattana Road. Impact Arena is just a small part of the Mong Thong Thani Exhibition Centre. There is in fact a very good hotel located in Mong Thong Thani, the Amari Lakeside Hotel.

i still consider that a very fair price

At the moment, I am mulling over a possible job offer in China. However, can anyone tell me if its possible to ship personal effects (all used and now second hand). I am not so concerned about the logistics of such a move but more interested if there would be import duties etc to be paid.
After all is said and done, if there were heavy restrictions then it would make more sense to sell here and repurchase in China
Sorry mods if this is the wrong forum, please feel free to move if so needed

I believe that the new Land Rover dealer is Global Fleet Sales who are based in the Duty Free section of Laem Cha Bang port

GungaDin, to be fair from your location I would suggest without a car you would be screwed wherever the Immigration office is in Bangkok. For those that dont know Mong Thong Thani is quite close and mini buses run from many points in Bangkok

This location is convenient to no one. DM is closing for good so there is no reason to go to that area. There are no farang out there so its a 200 baht taxi ride each way. Thia Imm did the same thing in Phuket, close the office in Patong(where all of the tourist are) and moved it to Saphan Hin( where no tourist are). Why can't they have an office near the sky train or subway? Or keep the one in Patong open?
Speak for yourself, Mr "I pay 4 times the odds for the right to live on Sathorn farang ghetto" pmcd8243. There are many, many foreigners living on Chaeng Watthana. In fact some of the best-paid expats have sprawling compounds surrounded by 10-feet walls in the exclusive moo bahns off Chaeng Watthana.
Briggsy there was no need to embarrass me by releasing such new as us Chaeng Wattana dwellers

Let's keep things civil please.

interesting quote from a newbie with a massive six posts to his name.
For the record there are a number of expats living in this area, I for one live on an upmarket Mooban just off Chaeng Wattana and I have witnessed the build of what is being described as the "Centralised Government Offices Area".
Forget the fact that I live close, but to me this area is the ideal for such offices. Vast open spaces very modern new buildings going up and I am sure there will be ample car parking.
Already in the vicinity is the DFA (which many farangs have to visit ) the CSI unit and Courts etc all now operating.

Does that mean at nearly 60, bald and a bit of a male paunch I will be out of luck ?

GH, it is the real deal. Thai Ticket Major
kennkate, prices from ฿ 5000 down. This seems to be the norm. Not like Kylie Minogue late last year. Her ticket prices were from ฿ 9000 down!
Not strictly true Chopper, prices are from 6,500 down to 1,000, I guess these cheapest seats must be in the car park of Tescos down the road
I purchased my tickets yesterday and although expensive, I was surprised that nearly all of the most expensive seats are sold already. I splashed out on this once in a life time chance to see the man in action. i am pretty sure i wont be disappointed

I think it means, if you are residing in Thailand and applying for a UK tourist visa in Thailand, and are not a Thai passport holder, what visas etc do you have etc to enable you to stay in Thailand

Another thought, as a 20 year old student, she most likely has a bank account and ATM card/Credit Card. If you know her bank, it may be fruitful to try to get a record of her transactions since she has been missing. you might find a pattern in those. I know she is not a minor etc, but in these circumstances i would hope the bank would be sympathetic and attempt to assist you

One thing I would ask is simply this. The OP mentioned he heard someone prompting his daughter on the phone. Can he confirm if this prompter was Thai or a foreigner. If it was a foreigner then this narrows things down considerably

Last year I wanted to deposit a rather healthy sum of sterling into an offshore account in Hong Kong. I travelled there and talked to the RBS, CitiBank and HKSBC. The RBS and CitiBank left me feeling a little uncomfortable, but even now I cannot put my finger on why I was left with that feeling. The HKSBC turned their nose up at my healthy amount. So all three were mkicked into touch.
I ended up using the services of the SCB and was very glad I did so, they have been very professional with me. And the SCB has never been mentioned with regards to bailouts and staff cutting

Rule of thumb is its cheaper to book on line through agencies as they get discount for "quantity". Yes there are taxes to be paid but generally they are absorbed into the qouted price

at least you wont have the frustration of disappearance of signal when it rains anymore.
