Most Thais don't care and many don't feel  love towards a city they moved at a later part of their lives only to make money. Pattaya is not associated with their place by birth.

Many tourists  don't care either as they are there temporarily.

The more crowded and dense the cities get, the level of unhappiness goes through the roof.

This reflects on their behaviors such as throwing trash everywhere, being unfriendly, lack of smiles(far from land of smiles) etc.

Pair this with sense of disconnect  I mentioned above and arrival of mostly less educated Thai people for job opportunities( educated Thais obviously won't be too crazy to work or live in a sin city), that's what you get!..

authorities are overwhelmed , unqualified, too corrupt and inexperienced to manage it.

just a big out-of-control chaos with property scams,trash, rats, overhead  wire fires,traffic, drugs, thugs, beach erosion, sewage floods and soon diseases!

this is a dead and deteriorating condo project with no resolution in the the near future or in the next 5-10 years.It is nothing but an eyesore at this point during my stays in (also deteriorating) city of Pattaya which are getting shorter each year , thanks to  great destinations such as breezy Varadero, Cuba where I am sipping my fuzzy drinks with a salsa beat in the background and indigo-blue crystal clear waters and sugary white sands on the foreground.

if i had important info, i would post but IMO even people claim to know about this project , don't know jack.

This project and many others launched and permits were obtained/given illegally during a "Wild West" period when "you could get away with murder" and these practices were not seen "illegal" but things changed after the coup and authorities decided to get to the bottom of crime and violations in the city.

i bet  90% of buildings that were built during the last 20 years have some sort of major code violation, illegality  and encroachment  as we are witnessing more and more tear-downs and partial demolitions lately.

Your opinion on whether I post or not and the rest of the story are just details dude!

i am not Muslim or even religious  but I did live in a Muslim country where their tolerances to jokes are far less than those living in  English speaking countries(for example) or those on sex trips.

Of course having a sense of humor and tolerance has a lot to do with level of education, culture etc. IMO

Sounds completely boring to me, we have a house in Issan too, looks like a barren wasteland in the summer with no water or crops.

 

I prefer the the family resort of Pattaya where I have lived for 20 years raising my family, never experienced a problem on the outskirts ' after merrying my beautiful, honest and truly friendly and faitful thai wife' , mind you we dont hang around beer bars where most posters base their opinions on.
