Urging doesn't work! How about massive fines and/or deregistering these shoddy bus companies with their poorly maintained and illegally/poorly modified buses. There should be random checks on ALL buses and fines dished out. But no, the government won't do anything substantial in regards to this. Poor law enforcement is pervasive here.

Used car market in a jam as electric vehicles spark trouble
DavisH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And more people see the car that they can show off with, and usually not see the slum they live in. My previous car cost more than our townhouse, but we moved out and sold the car. New car is 3X less than the house. Get no visitors at home and don't car who sees me in my car. -
I've been able to do online reporting for 2-3 years. Left the country in April, returned, and tried to do the online report (rejected as expected). Went to the office to do it online. Took about an hour. I'm due to report again by Oct 7, so I'll try the online again in a couple of days. I'll report back. But yes, you need to report in person for the first time. Thereafter, it 'should' work online, but some still have issues with it. I've never had a problem when not leaving the country. Every time it has worked.

That's your opinion. And you know what they say about opinions...

This is why you should have regular blood tests to check for cholesterol levels and effects on the kidneys. Don't self medicate. Get regular checkups. By doing this the doctor can change dosage or change the type of medication used.

There won't be anything that will reduce cholesterol to the levels statins will. I tried really hard to reduce cholesterol over 3-4 months. Lost about4 kgs (down to 84 kg). Barely touched any junk food, not a biscuit or bag of chips. And walked most days. LDL cholesterol stayed at 160. In 3 months a statin dropped it to 74 (with no side effects). Blood tests were normal. Exercise really doesn't do a lot for ldl cholesterol - it's mainly diet and genetics. Mostly genetics in my case. BP had crept up since the pandemic (was 135/85 average for a long time. Now take meds for that also. Mother has had high bp since she was 50. Again, genetics plays a significant role. Personally its better to stay with the meds if they are not causing any problem, and keep up a good diet and lifestyle (for a lot of people we need both).

Because that is my requirement. 300-400K just doesn't cut it. Heck, my crv has an 800km+ range and usually refill at 600-700K. Why settle for a pathetic 300+K. EV's are supposed to be better right? So why settle for less?
-
I will look at anything with 1000KM. Until then I can wait. Our current cars are good for another 10+ years, s no need to change to anything else yet.

Have you got a solar system at home? How much was the installation? I haven't done that yet, but a quick browse saw numbers like 200K-500K baht for a solar system for the home. No EV yet, as I'm waiting to see what the future brings in terms of battery performance an lifespan. Solid state batteries are being developed and should give 1000km range.

I had a lower molar implant done. Waited for 3 months before the implant was done. New bone growth was sof enough to drill easily. I had another implant to replace a missing upper tooth. That had been gone at least 5 years. The bone was very hard and harder to drill. That was less comfortable and took longer to do. Still tolerable though. That was Mahidol university dental hospital done by professors. Cost was about 60K each using Swiss implant material. Cheaper material gives a cheaper total cost.

OP perhaps get your gall bladder checked also. It's close to the pancreas and is also involved in digestion. Some people get gall stones. I had a pain in this area for 6 months...saw a specialist, he pushed and prodded. Said it wasn't the gall bladder. It was most likely a muscle /rib cartilage strain and got better after a while.

How to remove bitumen / tar from car?
DavisH replied to scorecard's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I've used wd40 before. And also to remove grime on the paint after it hadn't been washed for a month. But I kept a bucket of soapy water and immediately washed the surface after it was cleaned with the wd40. The paint was unharmed, but I would not leave wd40 on the paint for a long time. -
Spike protein only lasts a few days to a few weeks in the body. No test will detect any of it in your body if you were infected in 2021. Unless you have some research findings to suggest otherwise. I didn't find any on a brief search. Long covid is certainly real, but not as a result of spike proteins left over. Many viruses can have long lasting effects, such as dengue.

Missed that...what where the results of the tests OP ??

Have you had any kinds of tests at all? How about a blood panel to check your cholesterol and triglycerides? Have you done that recently? There is the stress test that can be done and the non-invasive coronary calcium test. Thinking and worrying about it does not help and can actually increase the sense of pain (personal experience). If the tests prove ok, you will stop worrying about it and the sense of discomfort will decrease. I had this issue with a testicular cyst - kept thinking about it and over time it became painful. Went to the doc, did ultrasound and it was a benign cyst. Stopped worrying about is and the "Pain" went away (in fact these cysts rarely cause pain). I still have it. Its the psychosomatic effect.

I just had that done at the chest institute in Nonthaburi. I think it was about 4000 baht. But i have have health cover for it.

Honda is pretty good too and I've never had a problem with them in 20 years. If you're not against hybrids, look at the base model crv hybrid (1.5M+ ). Or the petrol turbo version (less HP and fuel economy though). Whatever you choose, you should test drive it first anyway.
-
Quite a few were converted to LPG due to the fuel consumption that was higher that the respective diesel version. Diesels tend to be more durable, but I guess it depends a lot on how its been looked after by previous owners. For petrol cars like this I'd also look at the cx-5 2.5 petrol car, if a 7 seater is not needed. My brother in law has a pajero sport diesel. Not too bad but still as heck as he changed the suspension to old man emu.

CRV for a smaller vehicle; the Everest if one wants a larger vehicle. Those are good dinosaur choices LOL -
