  1. Here's an idea...how about the True Repeats Channel?

TRC--Bringing you the best repeats of shows already shown on True that already were repeats of shows shown in the rest of the world years ago... All in STUNNING HD quality (except where we don't have any HD repeats to show).

Premiering on TRC this month -- the latest original first year series of "The Beverly Hillbillies" starring Buddy Ebsen (may he rest in peace). Uncut and with no blurring....except when they're drinking moonshine.

I wonder if they have a blur big enough for when Granny whips out her shotgun?...

  2. My front gate looks more like a wall than a gate where my car can come in and out... Invariably people just park right in front... I want a sign in Thai that says NO PARKING... Homepro, Mackro, Big C and Tesco no luck finding... And I have not driven by any little sign shops to speak of?...

  3. I believe this forum has an excellent Insurance Agent link - But I can't recall where it is :whistling:

Kidding aside - I have Health, Condo & Auto thru them for the last 3 years - All done inexpensively and with great professionalism - check them out - They list all prices n there website... Click Insurance in the upper nav-bar...

  4. Hi, I can recommend the guy at Sridonchai road, passing the nitebazar at the Panthip Plaza traffic lights go left, 20 meters after the 7Eleven at left side, his salon is just accross the right side soi that is next to the large hotel, forgot the name.

He's really good, standard male haircut cost 150 bath. A very friendly gay with good feeling for fashion, he teaches too.

Google Maps has made me written direction challenged... I am confused by the above directions "at" Siridonchai road... I am at the intersection of Sridonchai & Chang Klan Rd... What direction do I go from there?...

It is called 'Shampooh Salon' and he does both Ladies and |Gents hair styling.

Can someone give a clearer description of exactly where this place is? Thanks

  6. Just a general observation about mosquitos here...

When I am anywhere with my Thai partner he is always attacked by the little buggers while I am ignored... I assume this is due his thin skin and virtually fat free body vs my fatty body that shields my Infrared Heat signature also I assume they know that they have to drill deep to get to my veins

  7. One thing to note after sale - Keep a copy of the wire transfer in documentation (This proves you brought the money into Thailand), Land Department Sale Contract and Land Department Deed - These will ALL be required if you ever sale the condo and want a bank to wire out to repatriate the funds out of Thailand. I would suggest scanning them and emailing them to yourself as a way to store them... In one other thing get your name on the Blue Book - This can possible reduce your withholding tax when you sell...

  8. Please note that the Apple routers do not have a ADSL-modem built into them... You will still need a ADSL-modem box upstream from the Apple Airport...

That said I highly recommend the Apple Airport as your home wifi system... It is easy to set up and give you the option of plugging in a USB printer or hard drive. to access via wifi

  9. I got a double entry tourist visa from PP 3 weeks ago,you can let it do by your guesthouse or go yourself like I did;only a few people so finished quickly, but I had to wait 3 days to collect my passport, luckily there was a guy outside who approached me and told me I could have my passport back next day when I paid him 20$,i agreed and then he talked to a guard who called somebody inside the embassy and he confirmed I coule come next day 4 PM to collect my passport,i did not have to pay him before. So next day I went to the embassy and the guard gave me my passport with the 2 entry tourist visa in it and i gave him 20$. for 25$ you can get your passport back same day;also the 2 entry tourist visa was free. You cannot do the 20$ settlement inside, only with those guys outside. To obtain the 2 entry's I had to show my airplane tickets, for a single entry no documents required.

    good luck

Janalisa - Do you think the Guesthouse contacts could have gotten the visa for you with a next day turnaround? And you said you had to show a plane ticket - Do you mean a ticket proving you are leaving Thailand in the future(BKK out of Country)?

    Much Thanks

  10. I hate AirAsia's website where, at every step during the booking, they try to sell you something you didn't want and make it hard to get out of - have to hit cancel at various dialogs to move forward, which breaks every single user interface rule ever invented...

Then worst is there sneaky "Flight Insurance" :annoyed:
