    A report in the Daily Mail today, a woman got 3 years in jail for stealing 490,000 Pounds. Crime pays in Britain. But 800 baht, idiot.

    That's the theory. I used a broker for years and they just gave me the same company to use year after year. I decided to look around myself one year, switched companies and saved a big percentage (on house and motor cover).

    Just bought my son in law a Vivo Y21. List 4,999 baht but got it for 4,140 from Lazada. Seems pretty good for that money 4gb/64gb, 6.5 in HD+. 5000 mAh battery. Loads available though in that price range.

    Surely the Thai immigration computer can spit out a list of names/addresses of those who have not extended their official stay. Why would it take 12 years to find him (based on a tip off).

    Why would the woman turn up to their first meeting with all her gold and jewellry? and then get rat faced. Almost asking to get robbed.

    I still find it hard to believe that the Thai people and the Thai Government are happy to let the crop farmers burn what they like even though it is killing thousands. In the West they would be having a fit. There must be some serious brown envelopes changing hands.

    I never use Shopee and certainly none of the smaller shops. Best to buy things like that here.

    You pay 200 for the card for 3 months. With that you can have one of the daily specials, usually 99 baht, instead of the full price 149-169 baht. Never had breakfast there but looks like it is 89 baht with the card.

    Almost as bad as in the UK. The Police are more crooked than the crooks.

    That "park" is a lake with a concrete path around it.

    Really, i never knew that. So you can't renew a non O visa extension unless it's more than 15 days before the expiry date? That's not what Almudena says above.

    Exactly, Thailand doesn't care about massive pollution from crop burning let alone a few car exhausts.

    Those that overtake on the left (even if there is only a tiny gap) and those that ride on the wrong side of the road because it saves them 5 seconds to cross to the correct side, oh yes and those that ride on pavements.

    All the big 4x4 are nutters on the road, but the Fortuners really are the worst. They have to take a special test before they can buy the car to prove they are inconsiderate d***s.

    Always been my thinking too. The best diet is not to get fat. I weigh myself every day or two. If i start to creep up i cut back the next day or two. Much easier to lose 1-2 kgs than 10-20kgs. I believe fasting is good too. Small breakfast about 8am, no lunch, a biggish meal about 3pm, then no food the rest of the day. Fast for 17 hours.

    A friend of my wife works at a restaurant in Pattaya. It seems in some places they are responsible for any shortfalls, whatever the cause. Recently some scummy guy went there, ate a meal, with wine, bought cocktails then did a runner without paying. The restaurant docked the girls wages over 2000 baht to compensate for the loss !!

    Wasn't there a floor plan available before you bought the house. Almost all estate agents/builders show floor plans in their sale brochures.

    What annoys me about motor bike taxis is that if there are 2 of you they charge double whereas a Bolt would be the same price for 2, or 3.
