  1. We are talking about visa exempt entries 🙂
  2. there are no ATM machines before immigration, so impossible, not just not permitted
  3. Guess you read Thai? Cos I can only find the entry in Thai, do you have a link to a copy in English?
  4. Would also be criminal if you are not reporting the rental income to the tax office. 🙂
  5. It was actually 90 days in any 180 day period
  6. 2000 baht is the normal fine for not doing a 90 day report.
  7. Trust me, yours and the other married expats contribution is minuscule in the scale of things.
  8. Do not extrapolate your experience to mean that is the norm. The airline rules state they should check for onward travel of you do not have a visa or extension.
  9. Couple of things, firstly there is no requirement to carry your passport, the law requires you to provide it within a reasonable time. Secondly, if you apply online how are you without a passport?
  10. 2 months ago mine was 21 days from submission to issuance.
  11. There is also no reason not to. Let people choose what they want to do, when they want to do it, and how.
  12. Just a suggestion, but why not say " yes he could wait until nearer the time, but whenever he extends, the days will be added to his current entry". Far less confrontational and also, why and when people choose to extend is their business, no one else's.
  13. Are they also asking for the 2 months seasoning?
  14. Pretty sure the 60 day extension can be applied for with every valid entry to Thailand, not just once a year. (As you said previously "Your friend could do a border bounce and enter visa exempt and be given a 30 stamp and that can be extended by 60 to visit wife. He could do that twice per calendar year. So 30+60 and repeat= 180days.")
  15. He has a valid visa, why would the airline ask for onward travel?
  16. As you are aware, you have a visa, so no problem coming back in. As you are also aware, you would be stamped in for the few days remaining on your visa- that said, you can ask the IO for an exempt entry, all they can say is no and stamp you in on your re-entry.
  17. "A bank statement in English, showing my address was sufficient.", you did not need a COR because you had this.
  18. That is what your yellow book is essentially
  19. Do you think possibly that if the official website does not mention a COR, that it might just be because one is not needed! Or did you think the site should mention everything that is NOT needed?
  20. Far better to link to the official page 🙂 https://www.rd.go.th/english/21987.html If you use an agent you may well require a CoR , or Proof of Address in Thailand: Present a document verifying your current address, such as a utility bill or rental agreement.
  21. Did she have the correct work permit and visa, of course not. Just another begpacking loser.
  22. Obviously the paperwork and financial requirements will be different if you are applying on the basis of marriage (or any other reason for a Non-O)
  23. you need a TM87 https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/th/downloads/ Item 19
  24. What on earth makes you think he may forget it? He mentions it in his post.
  25. You missed a bit. 🙂 "with an additional fine not exceeding 200.- THB for each day which passes until the law is complied with."
