  1. I am told that you can only do the lump sum and continue health if you work for less than 15 years, after that it is pension and no option for health?
  2. Do you know if you would still need their permission if you have a usurfuct (20 year) on the property? Obviously my name is on the back of the chanote
  3. Could not link to it, it is just a sub-heading of a forum
  4. It was fixed really quickly yesterday.
  5. But immigration do with regards a TM30?
  6. As per the post above, your entry makes no sense. 90 day entry would assume a multi-entry Non-O, and therefore no need for a re-entry permit. Can't be a new Non-O as you would not have been able to purchase a re-entry permit. Can't be an old Non-O as you would not be entitled to a 90 day entry, only the remaining days. What do you actually have ?
  7. "If the immigration officer decides to deny you entry, you may be asked to leave the country on the next available flight. In this case, you will be deported back to the country from which you flew or your home country."
  8. "All the latest news from aroound the various regions of Thailand." As you can see, the word around is spelt incorrectly. 🙂
  9. You clearly did say they were not gambling, true. However you intimated that they were not breaking the law, when in fact they were. The police were not doing whatever they wanted, they were upholding the law, ( however ridiculous that may be).
  10. The bridge players were "busted" for breaking the Playing Cards Act 1943 which states no more than 120 playing cards, they were not "busted" for gambling.
  11. They are bang to rights for having 37 decks of cards! Thailand has a unique law regulating playing cards. This law, known as the Playing Cards Act, was enacted in 1943. Its primary purpose is to control the production, distribution, and possession of playing cards within the country. Key points of the Playing Cards Act: Quantity Restriction: A person is generally allowed to possess no more than 120 playing cards. This limit is intended to prevent illegal gambling activities. Official Stamp: All playing cards sold in Thailand must bear an official stamp from the Excise Department. This stamp indicates that the cards have been approved for sale and taxation. Production and Import: The production and import of playing cards are strictly regulated. Only authorized entities can produce or import playing cards. Uno players would not fall under this law, and the bridge club members were not arrested for playing bridge, but for having too many playing cards.
  12. I am not saying it is linked to the extension, all I am saying is that I thought that when you get your receipt for a 90 day report, it is either for 90 days or the length of your current extension, (whichever is shorter). You love to use the word "nonsense", but I can tell you from personal experience that that is the case at my local office, where I had to do a report 3 days prior to my extension, and then another one on the day of my extension, (I too had to do the report to avoid a fine). Except for first extension from a non O That first statement is not fully correct, or rather it depends on how your local Imm Office deals with the matter. Some Imm Offices (like my local SiSaKet office) automatically re-new your 90-day report when applying for the 1-year extension. And when doing your 90-day report on-line during the last quarter of 1-year extension, your due date will not be 90-days after application but it will be capped to the expiry date of your 1-year permission to stay. That is actually very handy because if you do your 90-day reports in person you would not be confronted with a situation that you would have to go twice to Immigration, when the 90-day reporting window does not coincide with your 1-year extension of stay application date. Another poster who has experienced what I wrote. And your answer is not to acknowledge it. but "Not interested in random immigration offices." Fine, but you should be aware that not everyone uses CW and that posting what other offices do is useful for all those thousands of expats who do not use CW. This forum is not called "CW visa and extension questions only", it covers the whole of Thailand.
  13. A 90 day report is only valid for either 90 days, or when your extension ends. So according to your scenario, your 90 day report will only be valid for an hour, and then after your extension you will have to do another one?
  14. This page does not state that you need either a long stay visa/extension. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/re-entry-permit/ And the application form even has an "other" tick box along with "Non-Imm", "tourist" and "transit" So it sure would appear that you can, apply for a re-entry permit with a visa exempt entry. The only reason I can think of as to why, would be if you were using a land crossing back when you were only allowed 2 exempt entries, this way, your re-entry would not count.
  15. Are you sure? The renewing every 3 months makes sense, as he only gets 90 days every entry.
  16. Totally agree 🙂 However giving incorrect advice (400k for a single entry), is not being forwarned, it is being scaremongered.
  17. Not trolling, just fact checking 🙂 Please provide evidence that 99% of Amphurs require the above, can't be hard to provide, you stated it so therefore must have evidence to back up your statement? All I do is mention sometimes that one person's experience can not be extrapolated to mean the whole of Thailand. "Currently, there isn't, but if they go e-visa?", according to your train of thought, maybe every retiree should keep 1.6 million in the bank 'just in case' they change the rules ? Why not just quote the extant rule?
  18. This must totally depend on which amphur or office you are using, no-one where I am has had to translate or certify anything for a yellow book.
  19. Really? (The little short ones do not, but an actual copy of the entry do)
  20. I thought there were no financials for a single entry Non-O based on marriage, (the 400k being for the multi-entry).
  21. I have never been in an ESL classroom, Thailand is an EFL environment. 🙂
  22. You said "also gets you a Tax Filing Number." Certainly sounds like you said a pink id card gets you a 'tax filing number', or Tax Identification Number as it is actually called. I just pointed out that you contrary to what you posted, you do not need a pink id to get a TIN.
  23. Thailand is only 16th in the world rankings.
  24. Sentence Structure: Subject: "I" Verb: "pointed out" Direct Object: "the loud sneeze" Grammar Explanation: Subject-Verb Agreement: "I" is a singular pronoun, and "pointed out" is a singular verb. This agreement is correct. Direct Object: "the loud sneeze" is the object of the verb "pointed out." It receives the action of the verb. Adjective: "loud" modifies the noun "sneeze," describing its quality. Overall Meaning: The sentence means that the speaker identified or indicated the location or presence of a particularly loud sneeze.
