Yes a visa exempt entry will give you 60 days and you can extend once for 30 days at your local immigration. Your problem may be your air carrier not allowing boarding if you do not have proof of onward travel within 60 days.

I often to propose options and answers, but some posters seem to think only they know the correct answer. As for licence and id card, I was wrong. Licences are 2 and then 5 yearly renewals and I was right with the id card, they are 10 yearly renewals. (Though you will never accept you are wrong of course)
