Why were they not on level one at the arrivals taxi stand but instead trying to circumvent the system at the fourth floor departures which required hopping through the incoming turnstiles with their baggage if I’m not mistaken. Looks like they’ve been following cheap Charlie’s advice on how to save ฿50 surcharge and 10 minutes going downstairs. I’ll bet they leave those facts out when the fact finding report comes out. I’ll also bet she left her handbag in the back while unloading suitcase and duffles and the driver assumed they were finished and left when they shut the tailgate not knowing her bag was there as he was easily found within 3 hours and nothing was missing.

I seem to be blocked from contacting some members following a lengthy dispute online in this Forum....Whatever happened to "Free Speech"??????
Reading the terms of service for tvf will help you with your free speech fantasies.-

A very good idea, I saw many vendors selling only set's...100 Baht per ticket...
Yes and I had my wife question the 40 baht up charge and the vendor explained how he had to charge extra for his work finding another seller with matching numbers so he could have sets and give people a chance at winning double. She easily accepted this explanation and agrees he needs to be paid and embraces the idea of a chance to win double. I didn’t bother to try and explain it’s all bs and the ticket wholesalers (who likely add a surcharge) just match up sets to be passed down to the street sellers. -
Where’s that rice pledging scheme when you need it?

So now you will have drivers who didn't pay their fine, didn't get their tax so have no insurance. They think this helps?
Add no license to begin with.-

Interesting he said previously the government didn’t know about it but the ladies have taken the BMA to court and nothing was done. The BMA is part of the government isn’t it?

This means that they will close all the bars throughout the entire country right in the middle of the tourist high season for two separate weekends.
Bringing peace, order and happiness.-

Funny I got banned from posting for 24hrs by a moderator for using the f word and here they (TV) are posting a youtube clip with that very word.
Quote: "This is a family oriented forum, use of profanity is not welcome on this site."

It’s been said before but for me it’s unplugging every device and turning of every power strip and fan switch switch all day, not only at night. Besides inconvenient and annoying we’re plain wearing them out! I’m boxed in and can’t win when she defends it by saying it’s to save on the power bill or for safety.

no, life is truly pathetic when the best you can do out of life is following an internet forum for hours every day
Worst yet are trolling hall monitors criticizing what other people choose to do with their time. -

“Raising awareness of Specific risks on the road unique to Thailand” now that’s a seriously funny example of Thainess.
Things like ghost riding, no lights, running against traffic lights, not looking when merging, excessive speed, tailgating, unyielding oncoming traffic in your lane, being front or rear ended by another vehicle experiencing brake failure, unmarked road hazards, deadly u-turns and vehicles parked in the road on blind curves at night with no lights.
All the things people do less of in Britain you need to watch out for here.
I think it’s a good initiative as most people visiting Thailand have likely not read TVF to be aware of these specific road risks unique to Thailand.-

Ive never heard of a poor dentist. We know a lot of dentists...
Interesting statement as your wife is the dentist.
You started this thread convinced you’re onto something with visions of ฿500k a month dancing in your head and trying to get others to agree with you in my opinion.
I think it’s time you close it and get on with your venture and reopen it someday and let everyone know how things worked out. -
My mil brings out an ancient plastic chair that has the broken back slats sown together with wire for me each Sunday for dinner. I always forget and start to lean back which almost does in the chair and sends me over.
I was surprised to see I had to pay ฿380 for a slightly higher quality molded plastic chair with an 8 year guarantee (worthless I’m sure) when on the same day I bought the usual aluminum and cloth recliner on the roadside for only ฿550.
I took the new plastic chair to mamas and she reserves it on the shelf for me on Sundays and I can finally lean back to relax. -

I give the three of them a lot of credit for staying together and caring for 9 children, 3 from his previous wife.

Thanks again for the replies. Here's a plan I just made up. As you can see the CPAC truck will either flatten my wife's fruit trees or wreck the prepared driveway if it attempts to get access to the pathway at the side of the house (next to the neighbor's wall) and the rear of the house. So I reckon we will have to do the pathway the old fashioned way, mixing the concrete with a mixer and using barrows. However for the driveway, which will be deeper, we'll pour in one go from CPAC.
In my country trucks have a few shoots to extend the trough (ask them to bring them) and then you have laborers with a few wheelbarrows to move and dump the concrete around back.
I’d borrow, rent or buy 3 wheelbarrows to pour everything from the truck before I’d invest in mixing the rear area on site. Three laborers can move it around back rather quickly and the finishers can be working.
One laborer will always be getting a load to keep the driver happy and then you’ll be onto the truck dump area in no time or waiting for the next truck depending on how many loads you need.-

cooking Som Tam or green papaya salad
must be different recipe to what the missus uses
Actually when my wife makes som tam she refers to it as cooking. I know what she means and it makes me smile. -
Two years ago my yellow book saved me a 3 hour round driving trip to get a certificate of residence for the DLT to issue my license. They told me where to go and come back with the form and when I asked what about my yellow book everything changed and they processed me to get a 2 year temporary motorbike and car license on the spot. Muang Phon
Recently yellow book accepted for 5 year renewal in Phon. -

By the artist who paints black women holding severed heads of white women in one hand and a knife in the other. Poor choice of artist, unless he was trying to send a message??
That has to be in the "what was he thinking" category.
I disagree. His wife knew what he was thinking. -
19 hours ago, franckpattaya said:In 2 months, I have received around 30 SMS, charged 5 Baht per message.
I went to DTAC shop at Big C South Pattaya to complain, the staff dialed on my phone *137 and told me that I will not received anymore annoying SMS.
3 days later, SMS again and yesterday one SMS charged 10 Baht.
I decided to stop my prepaid DTAC and went to True at Tesco Thepprasit.
True kept the same number and now it's working.
Bye bye DTAC.
The <deleted>is not knowing how the service works. If you had the app or website open to your plan and checked “usage”. There is an opt out of “media” I think it’s referred to as. Tick the box and unsolicited messages stop coming.
For others the first time an advertisement text comes go to this area and do the above as it easier than changing carriers in my opinion. -
Foreign couple on tourism fact finding mission to Thailand robbed by airport taxi driver
in Thailand News

Yes it does look like the fourth floor where you arrive if you’re departing Thailand. They should have arrived on the first floor because they were departing the airport.
