  1. Had a similar experience over a financed car my wife turned in long before I met her.
There was a balance due which she left unpaid between the original sale price and the claimed value upon returning it. Shortly after we married (which is how I assume they found her current address) the finance company popped up with a letter for a huge amount due that had accrued.
She discouraged me from paying or getting involved and we hired a Thai lawyer and through the court and communications with the finance company the amount was significantly reduced and including the lawyers fee I was quite impressed with Thai style collection resistance and quite happy to pay what seemed like a more realistic settlement.
I was surprised the settlement was reduced so much knowing she had a foreign husband.

  2. Google Montana Pitch Blend and see if you can duplicate their ingredients. I think it’s beeswax and pine tar. Works well for the leather I leave in Thailand year round especially the boots and gloves I wear for motor biking on winter nights through rice country.

  3. Wayne, my father has the patent pending on the steel version from a 1 1/2” socket.
Rigid has a nice similar tool called “faucet and sink installer” but amazingly there’s always a time I need other basin wrenches.
I tried to upload some photos but got an error message about “empty cmd” oh well.

  4. My fil saves material for when I come and my wife tells me what papa wants me to build for him. With no particular specifications, up to me. Here’s a rudimentary set I made with a circular saw, cordless drill, hammer and a chisel and a few concealed screws underneath.
Left unfinished but they’re quite happy with it.IMG_0136.PNGIMG_0138.PNGIMG_0139.PNGIMG_0140.PNG

  5. Yep. Same "Old Gang" posting one liners to poke fun and bash Thais. Clearly the Rattan did not exceed the weight. Stuff is light. It wasn't even close to hitting road signs (As was said). The load was stable (Unlike what was reported). Guy is doing like anyone would to maximize his delivery. I see Hilux trucks carrying bales of hay that are far more heavier with custom bed holders. I personally actually appreciate the effort it takes to load it all. Foreigners are such whinging complainers. They think  trucks should carry a small box or a mountain bike and that's the limit....

So you think there is no traffic regulation for how far the load can protrude behind the truck?
