Police
in Chiang Mai
When together I drive and my wife sits behind and tells me what to do . When the police whistle and point she says "no stop Honey" So far no pursuits.
The one time I stopped I gave my IDP, smiled and let her do all the talking. A few minutes we were on our way no problem.

ACH it from your current bank to Bangkok Bank branch in New York then have it transferred to a Thailand Bangkok Bank branch or change banks to Citibank which has no fees is what I have read.

This is the view from the shrine of a famous Thai General and the radio station.

I had no luck getting Bangkok Bank to do a debit card counter withdrawal (to avoid fees on multiple withdrawals to get a large sum). I think they would do a credit card cash advance if I remember but that wasn't what I was interested in.
You may need to narrow down what banks if any will do a counter debit first then worry about exchange rate.
I've learned its best to bring plenty of USD and then look for the best currency exchange rates.

A friend who owns 2 connected condos and lives in Pattaya for many years told me there are 30,000 + units both new and old for sale. Does anyone know if that is anywhere near accurate or is he just exaggerating because he has become unhappy and planning to leave Thailand soon?

"Always trying to shift the blame! Please examine your own farce of licences."
You mean no licenses I assume.
I just recently convinced my wife it would great if she would retest to get her expired motorbike license reinstated after more than 1 year without it.
It took some time to work through her resistance as it's "not so important in the country Honey, Bangkok maybe yes"
I'm real proud of her because she studied hard, was tied up many hours at the dmv over 2 days only to fail with only 44 correct answers. She took it well, studied over the weekend and went in Monday and scored 46 correct, passed.
I think the drawn out process, the fear of failing the written portion, the idea that it's unnecessary in rural areas and little punitive enforcement may explain the Thai people who have no license.
If it was awarded based only on driving from point a to b every Thai would pass with their eyes closed.

Maybe Foreign investors have realized they're not Thai,,,,

"Anonymous also previously took credit for taking down several Thai police websites last week. Thai police said in response they would file a complaint against the hackers."
File a complaint with who against who?

Make Thailand an international health center and stabilize the economy
Whew that's a stretch. I know I haven't heard it all but that starts topping the list. [emoji848][emoji849][emoji23]

My wife books the upper level front left single seat in advance if available when she rides alone and the front right double seats when we go together. Her fearlessness and unwillingness to talk about the possibility of anything bad happening and taking any preventative measures is just one of the reasons why I love her so much!
I only hope if anything happens it's on a day the booking is for the right side as I would rather be with her than without her.
