  1. A yellow book saved me from needing C of R and my first public hospital visit for medical certificate registered me in the Thai system with a card. 50฿ each for bike and car.

IDP for car with eye and reaction test got a 2 yr temporary license. They had no English preparatory class, film or book to study so I told them let me take the test. Missed one question and the man was shocked,, he told my wife "international not the same as Thai, people like me take the test many times"

I didn't tell him I read Chaing Mai Buddy's online test tutorial and link to Thai driving laws first.

Told my wife to say I was lucky today [emoji23]

  2. Has anybody tryed this: .. farang goes with a group .. 2 or more people ..all thai buy their thai-price ticket.. give then 1 ticket to the farang and buy then 1 more thai-ticket?

Won't work as the ticket taker will see you're not Thai is my opinion
  3. The driver at faults insurance should pay for the loss of your vehicle during the repair period.

    That's standard in U.S.

What has the US got to do with renting a car in Thailand? US laws don't apply in Thailand. Difficult for Americans to understand, I know.

Yes totally true, I don't know why so many posts on Thai visa keep goin on bout USA this USA that. Anyone would think that they are the only nation with the correct laws an knowledge of everything.

    Maybe because:

"As of 2013, the United States has the largest aggregate population of migrants of any country and China has the world's lowest population of migrants as a percentage of its population."

Now you say they all going there because?

  4. I would bet a lot of the tree limbs and trunks are used in construction for the main poles you see on all types of Thai structures. I know my fil will use them green or seasoned from around his properties. If there's a structure to be built and wood needed we go cut a tree chosen for the project.

  5. I got mad at my TGF on a trip and smashed her iphone on the counter.she got angry but I said I bought it so it was my phone.when we got home she dug up her old Nokia and used that.no games just sms a little bit.every day she say "I mis my iphone"I made her suffer one month and had one sent from ebay in America and now she is happy.I tell her my phone and she not use it alot

My wife is too smart for your controlling pimp behavior. A gift is a gift and hers to do as she pleases.
  6. A follow on today regarding Yamaha service. I took my Spark with only 2,000 km for air in the tire which they always stop working and due gladly at no charge. When finished the shop foreman opened the chain inspection port, got out wrenches to adjust it and the rear brake, lubed all the pivot points, checked the lights then kicked started it to listen to the engine before handing it back to me.

All this without a word spoken as I have no Thai and him no English. I tipped him as usual.

While driving almost home I hear an insistent horn behind me which was the man chasing me down because he'd forgotten to replace the chain inspection rubber plug.

I'll take that kind of service any day and continue to buy Yamahas from that dealership.ba666fd89e904513a70d6af482ab6b82.jpg
