I'll say bs regarding Yamaha not warranting their bikes. We have a Grand Filano automatic and a 110 Spark. The Filano was well into its first year and I noticed a slippage and squealing under a load. Pulled up and they stripped it immediately with no questions asked. I believe it was a torque converter issue (from my limited knowledge if the bike has such a transmission) and they ordered the parts, gave us a loaner,,after I insisted and returned the bike in a few days. Works well ever since.
I don't think there's much to discuss at purchase time it's pretty routine for them and inflexible. Just pick the bike, give them the money, they insure it and send you away. Come back for the green book when they tell you.
My Yamaha service is great. They change oil and trans fluid, check filters adjust brakes, lube the chain,Kickstarter etc.
All for a few hundred baht or less. I always tip the bay manager well and thank him.

At those prices enforcement could catch on throughout Thailand. Fines of up to 1000฿ can be collected in the street I hear.

I'm actually adapting to thinking Thai Style quite well,,as long as the plane I'm on lands and takes off properly I see no problem.
Not my job, somebody take care and we don't worry pretty well covers any potential concerns of a westerner.

Just finished yellow book, married to a Thai lady,,lengthy process some of it my fault,,cost 20 baht when picking up the book and I can't remember if there were any fees at the beginning(I don't think so) but nominal if any or I'd remember over 100 baht.I am a foreigner married to a foreigner we got married in a Ampur seven years ago after getting all our paperwork translated into Thai from our Embassy the birdman said it would be a lot easier for him if we did that so I will be well and truly hacked off if when we do our yearly extension next week he BIRDMAN tells us we now need to bring in an official as a witness . I get the feeling they no longer want us to contribute to the Thai economy it was only the other day when I applied for my yellow house registration book that the woman behind the desk in Nathon Municiple offices asked me for 30,000 baht of which I refused to pay, there are things happening on the island that leaves a very bad taste in the mouth !!!

I enjoy white noise also but I'm concerned this may be not be politically correct in the U.S. any longer. And I do not find white noise to be bad ... quite soothing actually

You must shop at Peter Armani's [emoji23]Just go to the first one that grabs your hand in a firm handshake and never lets it go and asks you where you come from so he can tailor his attack especially for you. He will make you feel very special like he is doing you a favour by offering a suit especially tailored just for you and nobody else but you..... plus because he is so honoured to have you in his humble shop and because you are so wonderful and it is a honour to be in your presence he will throw in a free tie and perhaps a shirt . He will be your best long lost cousin that you never knew you had until today and when he addresses you as "Boss" well you know you are the man in charge.

If he gets a death sentence they both got what they deserve for being cheaters.

Another windshield sticker obstructing the drivers view.
Taxi in Pattaya wouldn't take us to a location despite an addressed business card in Thai.
Merely a matter of language barrier. I'm sure he's learned to avoid non Thai speakers.
We gave the card and 100฿ to a songthaew lady and she taxied 3 of us quite a distance. There's always a way it's just worry some if you have a tight schedule.
