  1. To Sterling yes but lets not forget there are two pairings that make up the bottom line I agree on one side the Baht may well appreciate against the USD before long but likewise so could Sterling appreciate against the same USD on the opposite side of the pairings Out of interest Im topping up frequently at 45 to SCB
  2. Likewise I use Travel Supermarket after first checking preferred againt Travel Trolley Have only ever booked 5 times with airlines and on two occasions had issues......on the other hand Travel Trolley bent over backwards twice to help me when I needed to change dates including on one trip changing the outbound sector normally never an aoption Agent for me every time because it you do have a problem you've got two pronged attack on the airline itself. Anyone who claims if you book with an agent than the airline wont help you is talking utter shight
  3. I suggest you watch online current ITV docu/drama "Breathtaking" which is going to win every gong going.....tells the story of one of the UK's top Doctors and her real time experience No one will ever say again who watches that it was a "plandemic" Insulting beyond belief
  4. Live screenshot The app had defaulted to higher fee of £10.55 instead of £6.40.....in the past it always displayed the lowest option....easy to change but one to watch
  5. Yep I highlighted that here couple weeks ago using the app in that it had defaulted to the higher fee I only noticed because the spread between gross and net had widened more than usual Could immediately see why...easy to change on the app but it will be overlooked by 1000's every day
  6. UK state pension is not "sanctionable" was only reading an extensive article over this the other day Inotherwards overpaid monies (on any benefit) cannot be recovered via ongoing state pension payments
  7. Who are these people who put confused emoji on posts like mine above !! What in the name of all thats holy is confusing lol !
  8. lol its always been that way I assure you For example you have a 6 month holiday and you're aged say 40 Unless you've purchased some sort of elite visa the best you could obtain is an METV and utilise it to cover the 6 months So much much misinformation over this topic
  9. How about the Thai Government consider long term visa free travel for Countries like the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and USA etc who put Thailand on the tourist map in the first place
  10. Unfortunately that 16-20 weeks involves mostly the time taken to answer your request in the first place because of backlogs I had reason to contact them last year and it was 4 months until I got a reply within the UK (along with apology).....The post itself to Thailand would take no longer than 5 days at most
  11. Nothing wrong with Malaysian (ignoring the 2 motors they lost) Flown them on 3 legs from London (one return ticket and one single) and probably go down in my top 5 of different carriers I've used to or fro Bangkok (26 in total now soon to be 27) Bit of a long routing I acknowledge The 27th will be China Eastern in March to finish off the British winter trips Will review it here post trip Fare was just £212 one way back to London absolute no brainer...again bit of a long routing but I enjoy flying Other 4 in that top five would be the stand out Singapore, Cathay Pacific, Eva and Qantas
  12. No They send via Telegrahic Transfer in Sterling letting the receiving bank apply the TT rate the minute it lands
  13. ^^^ Fella am telling you otherwise. I have every reason to know. 7.5 months worth lol
  14. lol I can utterly and totally debunk that myth !! Am not going into details lol but rest assured the British Government can establish what "country" you are in in 30 seconds flat as I once found out to my detriment lol Totally unrelated to the above but entirely relevant and in same vain I had an arrest warrant out for me back in 2014 when unknown to me after vile libellous shight was hurled at me on a football forum of being a kiddie fiddler (outrageous) I hurled back at the moron who was enraged when I stated in response that he was an out and out bee*** lol totally justified because he was.....He was a Labour Counciller who went to the Police with accusations of homophobic abuse Anyway its relevant to the thread because the first thing Police do when warrants are issued are to check home address and if the individual has a passport and if so "is it in use" Mine was. Bantering with Plod in the squad car back to Heathrow Central I asked how they knew I was on that flight. They told me a marker is put on the passport and as soon as you check in wherever you are in the World the reception commitee await you Not my finest hour getting hauled off Eithad with every sod having been told to sit down and wait lol in short the British Governments knows exactly where you are if a passport has been utilised (Edited in....Charge was dropped in 5 minutes flat back at Police Station with the interviewing officer with his head in his hands when I was allowed to open laptop and show the original kiddie fiddler jibe lol.....his words "they never give us the full story" lol )
  15. I used to (havent done it for a while) do sample dummy transfers using Wise against my own Royal Bank of Scotland using their swift method At £20.000 Wise was always still ahead
  16. Not quite The only thing that matters is the absolute "bottom line" that lands in your account So many people fixate solely on the "fees" without realising as you correctly say the conversion rates involved as well Wise use full interbank and as such are very hard to beat
  17. No idea where this suggested leaving 2000 Baht in account to avoid issues For 3 years I kept (during Covid) little more than 500 in SCB knowing the annual card fee of 200 Baht would come out When it did I sent £10 via Wise to top account up
  18. Out of interest I pulled up a mid June 2 weeker trip literally today and China Eastern was coming in at £451 Gatwick Bangkok Fairly long routing but not excessively so. I'm actually flying them home late in March. The reviews were better than I might have expected and using A330 on main leg 2-4-2 across in economy and seats with 32 and 33" seat pitch I may book that/
  19. You're going to get tugged via the personal bags scanners with 5m in your bag 1000000% Its not a question of one previous poster saying if its legimate its fine. You'll need a lot of documentation to justify it Get a taxi albeit that carries risk if it got hijacked !
  20. It wasn't a typo but I can see what you mean lol
  21. Quoting myself to show emoji but for the life of me I cant see whats funny !
  22. Twice I have been tugged at Heathrow via the hand luggage scanners. They called Border Force but was on my way in minutes after showing Bank receipts
