Might as well be zero from the Halifax as it lands at Telegraphic Transfer Rates whereas Wise are using as always full interbank I still occasionally run checks against other providers taking into account fees etc and still none come close

What people need to understand is that the "companies" themselves are underwitten as regards the actual coverage by for example just 3 Insurance groups (within the uk)....I have no doubt that will be similar for Thai based insurance groups It matters not who the broker used is (per se) the actual premiums will vary but only for the front end loading that the customer pays to that 3rd party Nothing fosters goodwill to a customer more than a normal pay out on a genuine claim. They renew....their friends get recommended etc etc etc Anyone who thinks all claims are denied for extra profit are as far removed from reality as is possible. The acturies calculate the "average" claim rate year by year and adjust premiums accordingly. That claim you've just made they WANT to pay out on as quite simply its already "expected" over any given time span Claims paid normally by insurance companies are the lifeblood of the business and make no mistake they want to pay.....but they wont if you've lied on the original application For reference I worked in insurance from 1986 to 1992

Entirely down to the returning strength of the Baht against the USD on one side of the pairings (unless you hold USD from outset) Sod all to do with the Euro Sterling AUD etc etc Nothing to do with Jimmy foreigner or tourists or any other shight spouted on here either Looks to me (certainly in part) that the Thai Central Bank are using Foreign Currency reserves to buy the Baht on Forex markets for their own reasons......with the amount of FCR they hold they can do it should they choose for decades (edited in its currently just 33.44 which FIVE Baht stronger than we it was just a few months ago)

Correct I havent checked lately for 6 months or so but the Thais had the 8th highest Foreign Currency reserves in the world.....just think about that They could buy the Baht on Forex markets for decades should they choose to

Its brutal surely everyone went to school at some point lol NO currency except the USD the worlds "reserve currency" has a "direct" exchange rate against the Baht (or any other currency for that matter) For Aussies its the sum of (Dollar/Baht) x (AUD/Dollar) and movement in EITHER pairing effects the bottom line As such we have seen the Baht gain strength from around 38.4 against the USD down to currently sub 34 Therein lies the problem lol !! The strength returning to the Baht against the USD on one side of the pairings...Simple as !

Indeed and there you go By doing my suggestion of keeping in contact once a year for any spurious enquiry via website or even on the trumpet it just keeps you "active" Someone further up the thread mentioned what happens with suspected cancer. Last year I reported potential skin cancer via online website. Seen by own GP the following day and specialist 11 days later. No further action required Second time last year ongoing problem I have with bladder cancer. Reported blood in urine (again).....No need to see own GP as they know the situation but again 10 days later was having the Scope up the japs eye the day England played Iran.......follow up MRI coming on 17th Jan as nothing obvious via the Scope The initial cancer referral times are 2 weeks and it still appears the NHS hit the target

Why would anyone in modern times burn their bridges with their original GP anyway All it takes is a "tactical enquiry" once a year via the online practice website to ensure you stay listed and active as a patient Nothing any surgery likes more than that standard patient fee when the patient him/herself makes no demands on the service at all lol
