I don't think anyone comes here to eat foreign food. They come here for other reasons then eat foreign food either because they miss it or just for variety.

No wonder since now they tax interest income starting with the first Satang. Before they started after reaching 20.000 Baht. But wait - next year the people will get tax refunds for this. Perhaps it is just borrowed money?
there is still the 20K baht exemption. But for farang accounts they take the tax out anyway, not for thai accounts though. I'm sure they figure most farangs won't claim the tax back.

Have you had guests staying at the home? That will increase consumption too. More water heater and air use.

I get it. Reduce the number of expected tourists. Then claim a victory when it is exceeded even though the numbers are down compared to previous years.

perhaps the bus should have went around the block instead of doing a U turn where it really isn't able to.

You can do a resident certificate at your embassy. But it can be expensive. $50 at USA embassy.

It is not that dangerous for humans. It does have some venom but it is rear fanged so it doesn't inject it like front fanged snakes do. You would have to let it chew on you for awhile to get any effect from it. Even then it probably would not be that bad.

Thai law says that if you have not crossed the line before the light turns yellow(orange?) you must stop. There is no leeway in the law.
Problem I see is that if you actually stop when the light turns yellow you run a high risk of getting rear ended.

Fixed accounts in Thailand are not exactly like Certificates of Deposit in the US. One of the differences is that you CAN add --- I'm not sure about withdraw (maybe with a penalty). I knew this beforehand, but felt sandbagged learning about the 2000 baht minimum 30 minutes before my visit to TM.
Yes, I know it's still my money even though I'll never see it again. Hope my heirs and descendants use it wisely.
You can withdraw from them. That is one of the requirements for Thai Immigration acceptance. When I set up my fixed account, SCB, I asked them about it. They said if you withdraw from it you will only be paid interest on the lowest balance for the period. Or in other words you will earn no interest on the portion you withdraw early.

Did you know that Durians are not native to Thailand? They are from Malaysian Borneo originally and imported. Just like us falangs ????
Same with chili peppers. They were native to central/southern America. Before they were introduced here peppercorns were used.

I love how you have to pay first and then if denied they keep the money. I bet they have a quota of refusals to meet to generate more revenue.

Those drain pipes usually just slide into a pipe fitting in the wall. There could be a rubber gasket around the pipe, caulk/silicon, etc. One time I saw a big wad of electrical tape wound around the end to seal it. But if you take the trap off or loosen it enough to move it to the side you should be able to pull the pipe out of the wall.

There are a few brands of this kind of dog food. They are ground meat. But they do contain quite a bit of ground bone fragments too. Maybe up to .5CM in size. If that is a concern for you don't use it. I don't know why but it has a different smell to it than what you get from ground meat you buy for human consumption. Maybe from the bone content or perhaps some organ meat in it too?

Points system on drivers license will reduce the number of drivers licenses and registered vehicles.
A win for DLT employees for cellphone time.
-
The two problems are the drivers and vehicle maintenance.
The bad part of this article is at the end where another person is criticizing his view. So nothing will change.

Just pure luck they didn't kill someone.

Also lots of dogs are allergic to corn. Most of the dog food here contains corn. Try finding one that doesn't. Smart Heart fit & firm is one that does not.

On Amazon I see a 15 pack for $29.98 US dollars. That is including the shipping and import fee. That's about 62 baht a blade.

As others have said it is not just a Thai problem. We live in a time where most people want to have instant gratification. And the problem is not just on a family level. Every government I know of operates the same way.

Why do farangs go all the way to LOS to eat western food?

gao lao, hoy tod, nam prik(any variety) with fresh vegetables, etc. A lot of dishes can be eaten without rice if you choose too. I have some Thai friends that eat like that.
Most westerners eat potatoes of some form with most meals.
