  1. Silly of her to post a photo of him without the fake neck brace.
  2. They do look similar to mealybugs but these are different.
  3. The teens noticing the woman was drunk attempted to possibly save her life by preventing her from driving her motorbike while intoxicated.
  4. Allulose is a natural sugar that our bodies can't break down. It's a lot more expensive than cane sugar though. Not quite as sweet as cane sugar either, about 70% as sweet. There is also Monk fruit sugar, expensive too. You can find both on lazada.
  5. You might want to take fish sauce off that list. I started looking at labels for fish sauce. The lowest I found was 1% sugar. All the way up to 6% sugar. I just try to avoid sugar, rice, bread, potatoes as much as possible. Also Sriracha sauce is like 17% sugar. Try not to eat highly processed foods.
  6. What's amazing is when the big rig went across the median no hit him on the other side. I've had people driving like that around me. I swear 4-5 times they missed hitting me by about 5cm or less. Fortunately it is a small percentage of drivers that drive like that otherwise the death tolls here would be astronomical.
  7. About 9 years ago I was staying at a small resort run by an Aussie in Kalasin. It was during Songkhran and they were having a festival. We were the only two foreigners there both married to Thais. They had music blaring. During this one song I told him, "Do you know this song is about Issan men being upset because foreigners are taking their women?" But anyway all the people there were very friendly. One time we were shopping at Makro and I heard two women talking to each other say, "His wife is old." I guess they are used to seeing lots of foreigners with wifes way younger than them. I'm sure a lot of them automatically assume they were hookers too. But most people my wife meets here thinks she was a professor. I guess because of how she dresses. I always worried when walking around with some of our neices and nephews holding hands that people would think I was a child molester.
  8. A lot of trouble over 1,000 baht. I feel sorry for his wife. She must have to put up with a lot of hell. His wife said he had 6 bottles of beer and was very drunk. Plus if she had some drinks the bill is not that bad.
  9. I think 'change my' was supposed to be 'Chiang Mai'. Probably got changed by spell checker without him noticing.
  10. Good advice does not apply here. Those who think they have the 'right of way' are in for a rude awaking here. When driving you have to anticipate people doing the unexpected here.
  11. new regulation stipulates that underwear sniffers must wear a mask, unless they are Thai.
  12. Yes. Need to plant the trees again. That way you have more to burn.
  13. Food court food is mediocre at best. You'll get better and cheaper on the street.
  14. At least half of the power poles in Thailand look like they are ready to topple all by themselves. I'm sure the driver only took out one pole and the others joined in sympathy.
  15. What he meant to say, "This targeted approach ensures that our international guests don't unwittingly want to travel to Thailand."
  16. Once a tourist visa is approved it is typically valid for 10 years. But you can only stay up to 6 months at a time. So if she already has a valid US tourist visa in her passport there should be no problems.

    Allergies

Most pharmacies carry allergy eye drops. Antazallerge is one of them. There are other brands too. I've been having some eye allergy problems the last few weeks too. I live in Ratchaburi. There are a lot of those trees with yellow flowers in bloom right now. It could be pollen from those. All the burning right now doesn't help either.
