First.... some of my posts are not strictly covid related, but i post here thinking it might interest some of the core who visit . I wonder how many people feel like i do...... my biggest fear is being brought to a pharma prison , laughingly called a "care giving facility" .... or hospital, for short. Jeff's article today spells it out so well : the uncaring, drug peddling, mandated protocols , and outrageous pricing that has all but captured the helpless people who need some help. I can not say all this without also putting some blame on the blind followers who worship doctors and deny that anyone else without some paper on the wall can know a better way . Trying to pry those double fake cheese burger 4 pounders and 40 ounce cokes away from the masses ( and i mean Massive Masses) .... will take a herculean effort. But ....... we gotta start somewhere. A very smart entrepeneur can , i predict, make a fortune by establishing an A.I Chat ND system that will focus on natural solutions to the myriad of diseases and smaller ailments that are now a plague . I spend hours going over the Earth Clinic website , having learned a lot and cured many issues ( ACV and BS for stomach problems for example. Not exactly the same . Most of us here had 3 or 4 shots when we were growing up . "Now, children could receive as many as 27 shots by 2 years of age and up to six shots in a single visit " you are a little quick to use the "stupid question" retort in your first comment .... given the massive increase in childhood vaxxes nowadays. And the sad fact that there are so many more childhood illnesses in spite of, or maybe partly because of, the excessive use of these shots . Note: i see that BM2 also sees the disparity. There are a few others besides the 3 you mention that are quick to jump on the anti-Trump bandwagon. I don't read them, but glance once in a while at their attempts to remain "funded" . I think Sasha is ok , but as i said.... i don't waste time following the show . The remarks by Carlson also drew the ire of Trump (who , if its not a script, took public exception to it ) . hmmmm . i agree with you 1000% . Now ....are we going to use MY definitions of optimistic/pessimistic , OR yours, or egomans, or dickie's ??? For me the sexual EXPERIENCE was so much better when proceeded by going out to eat, having some drinks, SPEAKING chit chat or whatever instead of pigeon English or someone looking at their phone . I was around 50 when I had those experiences. I guess those with english speaking dates could be happy ......... i much preferred the Thai experience . Though I will admit there was an English speaking eye specialist i went to that really turned me on. but......... she was spoken for with kids.

Speak for yourself. Any "newcomer" or person foreign to the location they go to live will not immediately fit in, be accepted with open arms. Does that happen in any country ? Farangs coming to live in Thailand are a varied collection (to put it mildly) . Most can not even get along with each other and make much bigger displays of it than the Thais who generally make a great effort to avoid conflicts . Are the Thais getting more fed up with the growing influx of visitors and even long stay foreigners ( who I observe acting quite a bit differently than the quieter and more passive (unless provoked) Thais living normal lives (not tourist meccas) ? Yes . Still mostly kept inside, amazingly. It wasn't till i lived in one place for over ten years that gradually I gained respect . I felt comfortable. They felt comfortable. It takes time.... and the effort to learn and interact ( keeping it simple ! ) , speaking Thai, small jokes thai style. That's the culture ! If one is looking for a Thai area where loud political or social issues are debated then this is not the norm. That's what bars and forums are for . 🙂

An interesting topic (especially compared to "what are you eating today" ... or "am i giving her too much money) lol I read some comments which i can relate to ( living in Thailand long time and now aware that time waits for no one .) So........ You, CMguy , do tell us that you had 25 years of fun here . Not bad ! You had solid employment which is good for stable life and garners "respect" . ( i kinda freestyled it here, from my early days almost 40 years ago . A different lifestyle, but more on that on some other comment) . I think most places present the same challenges for retirees . Old folks ! The younger generations pay little attention , and we have little to offer that others want . You mention health care... and indeed that is the big kicker ....even in the "free medical countries" . Its all about money . Too many old and getting sick people in the world today . Usually, lucky to have even one or two people ( which includes children) that really care . What to do ? Where to go ? A decision facing many of us .
