  1. If anyone wants to spend 1 to 3 million euros , we have some gorgeous villas on the Côte d’Azur , Spain, Italy, etc. They are worth your money, you can re sell them easily and make a profit, you can come and go as you please, and take advantage of good infrastructure, healthcare, pristine scenery and towns ,cities and villages with all the best food in the world.
( there are also 50 and 100 million houses for sale!)

  2. I’ve had food poisoning twice. Once really bad , seafood. I was  ill ,passed out on the floor at home, lasted 3 days.My friends had the runs but not so bad. The second time was years later, shared a prawn dish, I was the only one ill. In these times of Covid and less people eating in restaurants , it’s best to be very careful where and what you eat. I’ve often seen Thai restaurants display their seafood , then putting it back in the ice end of a hot evening. Serve yourself sushi , wow, all those people using the serving tongs and breathing over them, ugh !

  3. So what are the true figures ? I’m sure I’ve read 39000000 ( 39 million ) tourists per year. If one third of those are Thai, 13 million, then the rest are foreign tourists , 26 million ? It’s hard to  imagine 13 million Thais spending a week or so for  holidays in  Thailand , those who have some money go abroad , usually Burma, Malaysia etc, and weekends in Pattaya, Chiang Mai . Also, those figures have lowered the number of foreign tourists  greatly.

  4. I had some nice condos on Phuket, but moved away due to lack of public transport and rip off dangerous taxi drivers.( and the rain !!!).   I stay 4/5 months usually, so doesn’t merit buying a car. I am thinking of going back for holidays tho as I miss my friends. I love Koh Chang, and go there for holidays, great hotels, great restaurants, mostly lovely people.  Not to live there tho. That said, I doubt I’d live on an island anywhere.

  5. It’s probably a lack of education, which is the cause of many problems in Thailand. I seem to find most Thais tolerant, and some down right rude, not necessarily in words , a look is enough. I like to shop , example, asking for a bigger or smaller size, and get a loud * no* as answer. Or being completely ignored. I’ve had cleaning ladies , massage , beauty salon girls who are really lovely and very polite. It’s very divided.

  6. In 7/11 in the fridges where butter etc is, are packs of very fresh eggs, 4 eggs in a transparent box, think they are 30/35 baht. Very good. Not the ones on shelves.
