few years back a friend paid a lawyer to sort the mess out and pay the fine. cost 20k fine and 20k for the lawyer. no blacklist. not sure if it is still possible.

you are safer without one. only safe way to keep one will be to have it locked in a safe where it will not do you any good. ontop of that you need to keep training to be able to use it effectively, especially a handgun. get a paint ball gun and try to get the paint balls full of pepper spray. thailand is generally quite safe as long as you keep to yourself.

4000thb fine plus costs i suspect. i got fined 8 500thb for having the wrong address in my work permit but all up it cost over 80 000thb.

queensland licence i used was quite old. was laminated and did not have much info on it. when i handed it over the thais behind the counter asked each other in thai where they thought i had bought it.

Money may be only the exchange medium for necessities for those with money.  I suggest a woman with money of her own may not be so up front about wanting yours even if she is Thai. 

unlikely a thai woman with her own money (very rare) will want to have anything to do with western men.

yea i would have thought so to but the kept building them. each new shopping center takes the business, mikes then the avenue then central then harbor and soon terminal in pattaya. how does this business model work?

my queensland licence just listed the different classes, not car and motorbike so i had to do the whole thing again twice. once for car and once for motorbike. what a hassle.

idiots. they just need to make the multi entry tourist visa obtainable. just show funds in the bank for the duration of the stay and grant it.

you get what you pay for, generally. if you are in thailand for a holiday better to go for better quality hotels and cut the trip shorter if it hurts your budget.  if you live in thailand just rent and move if the neighbors are loud and the land lord wont do anything about it.

She's been upgraded to suit tastes of people who can pay - it's a common practice here. Many of these 'dolly-whores' aren't even seen or made available to farang visitors here.

it is a disgusting job. sucking filthy d!#k. done mostly by desperate single mums from the poorest part of thailand. my girl was shunned by he village after moving down to pattaya from esan. it was only after her italian husband built her a big house that she got any respect back.  i know plenty of thai hookers and i dont know any who go rich.  money management is not these girls strong point.

there have been orders like this across the board. it is standard operating procedure to issue these warnings and then to ignore them. remember when the cops offered a reward to anyone reporting cops accepting bribes. however  the cops kept the rewards, no one was surprised.

homeless people are not just druggies any more. many of them are fairly normal people who have been kicked out of their houses. homeless rates are on a fast upward trend in the states. people in america are under financial stress. much of it is credit card type debt which is about 1 trillion dollars. student debt is now 1.3 trillion. this crippling debt is causing people to walk away from everything and live rough. over  500 000 people are classed as homeless in america now.

wont go down well with the 34000 homeless in LA.
