Actually I would have nothing against a few hours teaching per week. But not English, as it isn't my native language. But 1 time per week give some computer or programing lessons, why not.

But as it is almost impossible to become a WP for only a few days per month, I let it be. I not want do this job because of the money, but because I like some small work.

thailand is such a great country to live and i am not looking forward to the day i have to move home to put my kids in school. should not ruin your life by working here. people need to save up and move here when they can afford it.

Can't understand why the schools aren't able to secure a visa for their teachers like in other Asian countries. There is a lot of qualified teachers out there, have friends teaching in China, Korea and Vietnam and they have visas and ok pay.

many of the schools delay getting the work permits as the foreign teacher quits after a few weeks realizing it is not such a dream job. most of the children really dont care about learning english. getting no job satisfaction and a low salary means it takes a special type of person to be an english teacher.

How much does he pay for her then?

half, i want half eddie. but seriously it must be a decent amount. enough for her not to worry to much about being touched on the head, or for her to happily touch his feet. both these things would annoy my girl but then this girl is probably getting quite a bit more than my girl.

Almost impossible but not impossible and you only need to find one.  We met when she was 23 and I was 43.  We chose not to have kids and 19 years later we are very happy together, we are still in love and have a great life together.  Most of my wife's closest friends are close to her age and still single.  They are very successful and fun to be around but don't really have the time to take care of some misogynistic bore.

you have done well and it is possible although after 10 years here, like i said i dont know of any western foreign couples who have stayed together long term unless kids were involved.

You need to get out more if you beleive that
Loads of single women with no kids willing to date farangs here in bkk

yea bangkok is probably a different but i dont like the place. prefer pattaya where it is a bit more straight forward dealing with the girls.

If you're over 30, or she's over 25 ....... it's likely there will be kids. That's how biology works.

Finding a woman over 30 without children generally means somethings wrong with her (biologically or mentally).

you are right there. i have said this before that it is mostly single mothers looking for financial security that are willing to go with a foreign man. almost impossible to find a thai girl who can have kids that dosent have any. my girl had a daughter with her first long term foreign boyfriend but the dad took her back to italy so i only have to support my own kids.

Probably 95% of farangs l have met over the years teamed up with a bird with kids. I had two kids with my first wife......Nothing in this world is guaranteed with relationships, even when kids are involved..

agreed. best chance you have with a thai girl is if you have kids with them and keep control of the finances. dose not guarantee anything but gives you a better chance. have seen a lot of girls using the kids as leverage against their western partner for financial gain, often the kids dont even belong to the westerner.  only thai western relationships i have seen last more than 10 years are those where they have kids together. even many of those are pretty unstable. 5 years and so far so good with the mum from my 2 kids. bit rocky to start but pretty settled now.

  8. my sister and my mate from school are my best friends. i would be willing to give them my pin numbers for my bank accounts, not that there would be any reason to. how many guys here would give bank details to their girls? sounds like a bad idea to me, love is a fickle thing. many woman and even some men are emotional and things can change very quickly, even over a small cultural misunderstanding. my girl and i are together because we have kids. we are both 100% committed to our kids, in a way that makes us committed to each other, but only because of our kids.

    Not just in Thailand.

There is a coverup of all the knife attacks happening all over Europe right now.

The attacks seem to mostly be muslims but the MSM and police do everthing they can to not call it a terror attack.

According to the press its all done by mentally disturbed people.

    Just about once a week.

Attacks are much the same as they have had in Israel for years now.

The coverup is clearly coordinated and they seem to first do a check on how much information is already known online as some cases it too late to cover it up.

There are many reasons I guess but one could be preventing escalation due to copy cats.

same scenario in Australia with a guy yelling alla arkba stabbing people last week. suppose they are trying to reduce racial hatred.

  10. ha, would have to pretty desperate for mates if you call your thai girl your best friend. the majority of guys i know who befriended and trusted their girls ended up paying for their mistake. how can you be friends with some one you have almost nothing (except sex but there is a good chance she is faking that as well and seeing a thai guy on the side) in common with?

In Thailand the rules truly are flexible. We all know you can't buy alcohol from 2-5 pm, but you walk into a 7/11 during this period, grab a beer and open it while you wait to pay, the staff is helpful enough to take ur money, but enter it in the cash register after 5 pm.

can get away with almost anything in thailand if money is involved. i even spoke to a guy a few weeks back who used the services of a lady of the night despite it being illegal in thailand.

  12. well i am in the process of selling up everything in thailand. both houses are gone. half my business is gone. next i am selling my pick up. i dont want to own anything in this country. all my cash and assets are going to be in nz and i will use my ATM card very carefully to withdraw my living expenses. i would rather rent everything. nothing seems safe in thailand. maybe i am being a bit paranoid.

    Magnitude this and that.

Strange nobody ever came up with a scale which is more understandable.

Average Joe, as well as journalists have absolutely no idea what Richters scale is about.

come up with a more understandable system and the yanks and poms would not adopt it any way. looks like many buildings have been destroyed. many building are hundreds of years old. i guess they dont get earthquakes like this that often.

And that says it all about the self titled, "greatest democracy in the world".

    Fail

i would still rate the american system of an election every 4 years  above the current system we have here in thailand where there is a coup every 4 years.

  15. i bought a new pick up 3 years ago. first mitsubishi dealer i went to ripped me of for my deposit after not being able to get me the pickup i wanted so if you buy new just put down a small deposit. the new car price is standard across thailand so dont bother trying to haggle too much just go for upgrades if you can get them. some great second hand deals around now especially if you find a guy wanting to leave town. baht sold is very good, will be selling my pickup on there next month.

  16. hard to hold the moral high ground when they openly use torture on suspects. just another reason for Muslims to hate the west as if they dont have enough reasons already. if a foreign power started torturing my people and flying drones around killing at will i would be pretty sure i would become radicalized into extreme retaliation pretty quickly.
