if you told me 5 years that the price of oil was going to actually halve i would not have believed it but here we are. bad news for all the alternative energy sources that now have to compete with lower fossil fuel prices. at least the prices still remain fairly high at the pump due to increased taxation.

quite a few similarities between here and turkey. some differences as well.

best time to call for peace when you hold all the power.

Total propaganda .
prepare for a power struggle as the army tries to take over the police who are mostly made up from esan recruits. hope this does not get messy.

i would not be so sure. the reform is not about getting rid of corruption and actually getting the cops to do their job. it is about the army taking control of the police who side with the reds. police are the last part of thailand the army needs to conquer.

well there have been numerous crack downs on this issue for many years now. even if the good general uses his magic 44 powers (which i am starting to suspect are not actually magical at all) only 1 of 2 things will happen. firstly and most likely nothing will happen, or secondly tourist numbers will drop as they will go elsewhere.

'manipulate the situation to allow anyone including himself to stay in power.'
he pushed through legislation that means he and his buddies can control everything from the front or behind. think in this case he is playing the reluctant hero. ' i did not want to stay but the people wanted it.' what a joke.

What is normal?
Tourists being gang kicked in the head and culprits released instead of charged with attempted grievous bodily harm?
Elderly woman beaten unconscious?
What is normal?
Do you even know who extensively bombed tourist areas?
How can you audaciously even claim safety .?
yes this is normal, for thailand. maybe not normal for the rest of the world.

is that how things work?
not necessarily. but i have seen things work that way. a woman sharing footage of a guy jacking it on public transport was warned not to distribute the video footage and threatened with a big fine. a woman who was sexually assaulted was still found guilty of defamation even after the guy was found guilty of the assault. again it does not necessarily work this way but it can.

Did the lorry with the low-boy trailer exceed the bridge clearance and impact it?
read another report that said the driver had left the trucks radio antenna fully extended despite some signs warning of low clearance. wonder if the driver did a runner.

What is an organic law? One created without chemicals? One with carbon chemistry?
Which leads to the next question, what is an inorganic law?good question. i think these are going to be very unpopular new laws but calling them organic puts a nicer name to them to try to limit how negative they are. you like organically grown food right?

Wait, they're intentionally trying to make it more difficult than ever to form a new political party??
yes for them having 2 is already 1 more than they want. smart move mr general, well played. which idiot on here posted that democracy is taking a back seat to ensure the country is safe? this has nothing to do with safety.

giving hollow assurances has been working for a long time in thailand. why change a winning formula?

if only they could micro chip them to monitor their movements. maybe start with their mobile phones. anyone else thought of that?

If only the girl had thought to video this with her phone she could have then threatened to show it to the guys wifey. I think this would have created a better financial situation for the girl than this rape charge will.
no, distributing videos of sexual activities is a 10 000thb fine. she will be lucky if her employer dosent get her in trouble for defamation as it is.

glad to hear there is some help for potential victims in thailand. i was under the impression many victims just endure abuse here without much they can do about it.

can the people of thailand bring a case against the police for defamation?

Yes, take a look at this website:-
http://www.aaanimalcontrol.com/professional-trapper/howtogetridofstraydogs.html
To quote:-
Stray dogs are very common in Asia and Africa and are often kept by slum households as pets. They rely on garbage as their main source of food and you will often find that humans in the rural and urban parts contribute to their increasing population by feeding them. With over 500 tons of garbage in these areas that go uncollected every day, the stray dog population is very much supported.
Need stray dog removal in your hometown? If you want free dog service from your local county animal services, do a Google search for your local city or town animal control services, or call your local sheriff's office.
kill them. nope one guy i know accidentally ran one over and the thais hate him for it.
remove the food source. the restaurant near by keeps feeding them scraps and wont stop.
call the sheriff. do we have them in thailand?
we did try tonys animal shelter but they said they were full. we took some down to the sattahip navy base. god knows what they do with them but they refused to take any more.

finally one who survived. he can tell us if it was attempted murder or attempted suicide. pretty poorly executed if it was attempted suicide.
-
Few thought that the huge corporations who take money for our milk at these shops should do something like call up the dog catchers that every local authority has to protect their customers.
is there a service like this? we have about a dozen dogs around the beach where my business is located. they are breeding like crazy. no one wants to have anything to do with them. any ideas?

i would agree about the current generation being too soft. also the problem of falling birth rates in the west needs to be addressed. maintaining population is a major factor in economic stability. better subsidies in the form of tax breaks and subsided medical and schooling are just a start.
