I visit HH every few months. The construction is a big negative and very dangerous. Last trip there was a cement barrier that had been some how moved and was sitting in the right lane. Lots of trucks and heavy traffic. The time you drive is key. Last time I left at 3:30 am and it took a little over 2 hours to get to BKK.

KFC is terrible here. I believe it is the cheap frying oil they use tastes nothing like other countries and seems much greasier here. Makes me want to vomit. McDonald's chicken here is better then KFC.

Nams is the best. Should be 1200 including tolls.

I actually think it would be could for both. Remain trade partners the rest should be separate.

A lot of it is fake they buy subs, views, likes, etc. And, don't be fooled several are low lifes have criminal records some have admitted to this. There is some good content on YT, but watching these people in bars or exploiting Thai people is obnoxious.

Abnb are much cheaper then hotels in Bangkok now I use them all the time. In many cases, 1/3 the cost. I have never had a major problem with 22 Abnb times I rented here. One time the internet went out the host had it fixed the next day. Plus, kitchens and larger frig. are the norm. Regarding the thread, in typical Thai fashion I bet they crack down for a few weeks then things will be back to the way they were.

I just left there was surprised how good the air is now. Last year at this time it was much worse. Hope it continues to be good CM can be a really nice place.

There is a shopping/restaurant area in Chiang mai nice place to sit for lunch. But, two guards constantly blowing their whistles for what seems no reason only way to get thru it is wear noise canceled headphones. It is annoying and way over done. Yes, I believe some power trip in many cases unnecessary.
