Buriram would be great but sadly no international airport or enough hotels to welcome the many fans .Logistically Bangkok would be the place and maybe a brand new circuit on the outskirts could be purpose built . Thailand and F1 would be a major attraction and BIG money maker

Instead of spending money on a whole new track in BKK, why not build an airport at Buriram.  This would be of use after the racing event and make access to the beautiful Issarn ladies easier for TVF readers !

Education reform, police reform, military reform, all have been vowed then started, then sputtered to a halt numerous times over the years... - which leads me to believe that there are mysterious forces arrayed who do not want reforms to be successful.

But, I could be wrong and Thailand is just unlucky...

there are mysterious forces arrayed who do not want reforms to be successful.

I agree but behind the scenes we didn't know of his illegal land deals that he and his wife, at the time, carried out. And his illegal share dealings. For that he was sentenced to five years for illegally holding shares in the state's phone concessionaires and conflict of interest. We were all well hoodwinked.

Is it possible that we are still well hoodwinked  ?

All has to do with pricing.  When I was there in the age of dinosaurs, I could have a good time for 50 Baht or less up-country.  90 Baht at one place in Bangkok, but they provided the short time room and it was in a nice part of town. That was like $4.50 at the exchange rate at that time.

    Those were the days !!

    Bring back the Jurassic !

When they're not quoting impossibly optimistic figures, they're spouting the bleedin' obvious.

I have PhD in "Stating the Bleedin' Obvious" from the University of Bums on Seats in the UK in 1982, so I am well qualified to tell  the ladies and gentlemen at TAT that it is better to have  6 modest spending tourists than one super-rich one.  If only they could think this one through ................

Lots of sex addicts on the BTS now. Funny, they come all that way and risk much for nothing.

Often have a dusky, plump, unattractive Thai woman in tow.

All get off at Nana or lower Sukhumvit.

Flip flops, beach clothes in a big city. Spot them yards away.

    GBH

You make me wish I was on the BTS to Nana too. But being hansum man with sandals I would have a drop-dead gorgeous lady to tow around

  7. a HDPE plastic fabric which is 1.5mm thick and is placed at the bottom of each pit to prevent wastewater from garbage flowing into the ground."

I wonder if 1.5 mm  is really going to stop contamination of the ground water.  It is going to be subjected to considerable pressures which may vary in space and time causing cracks and tears in the 1.5 mm lining.  I have not examined a lining properly, but my memory of such a lining for a land-fill site in an old sand pit in Surrey (England)  is that  it was probably about 20 mm thick.

Why do you assume that the owner is a farang? Because that person lives in Germany? But farangs cannot own land and property legally in Thailand. The house possibly is owned by a Thai wife, and I doubt that anybody would order something like that to block their own driveway.

Yes  - there are some VERY important Thai people who live in Germany

I am not Thai and I do not watch porn but the "majority" of my Thai circle do watch porn and would love to see it legalised

This being said, I do not see how a husband, wife, son, father or mother would answer positively to these questions especially if they are not alone when polled 555

My personal poll shows an overwhelming 95% in favour 5% not against...the rest strongly opposing

95% in favour 5% not against   = 100%       so who is left to be strongly opposing    ??
