They want them for the health professionals who are tackling the virus, to prevent them from getting the infection.
Yet they tell the man on the street that masks are useless?
Don’t judge him by his words, judge him by his actions.

Erdogan is encouraging these people to cross the border when he knows the border is closed to them. Many of them are families with young children and even babies. Using desperate people to pressure the EU and NATO ... what a cynical nasty man. I hope he gets novel Coronavirus ... or better still antibiotic resistant gonorreah.

Woman 66% at fault, she’d have been 100% at fault if it wasn’t for the fact that the truck was driving too fast. If they had been going a bit slower they would have been able to avoid her bad driving. She will get away with it because the victims are not Thai, sadly.

I laughed at the photo of a guy in China wearing ladies panties as a mask. One positive of the novel Coronavirus and the shortage of available masks is that panty sniffers of the world are getting a free pass.

It’s spreading all over the world now, in a couple of months we will all be living a little differently, wherever we live. I read that in North Korea one of the first people to be infected sneaked out of his quarantine to visit the baths ... they shot him! Let’s hope Thailand don’t take a leaf out of Kim Jung Un’s book?

I don’t blame them, that museum attracts practically every visitor from abroad ... to see the Mona Lisa. I wonder if they’ll put a mask on her ... just for a laugh.

If I got the virus I’d visit My Mate Nate, and give it to him.

The message is that a person died who was already sick. I don’t believe this person is the first to die in Thailand, nor do I believe only 42 people have had it.
You are more likely to find honest numbers in Singapore. Indonesia have no cases, but a population of over 250 million. Novel Coronavirus obviously doesn’t host in people with Indonesian DNA?

A stroke of luck that Thailand’s tourism minister is a world class researcher in epidemics and virology ... a bit of Sun and Bob’s your uncle ... have it!!

Sounds suspiciously like Covid-19? Healthy man, who probably doesn’t smoke, and who is fit and active. If I were a doctor it’s the first thing I would test for.
Certainly the next time I feel cold like symptoms I’m taking it very seriously from the get go ... plenty of water, sleep, no physical activity and healthy food. You don’t want that virus spreading to your lungs.
i hope it works out well for the man.

As Bill Gates wealth is greater than the entire value of all Bitcoin you can be sure he’s not an investor ... it’s a scam.

You being a Thai citizen is significant. I’d guess you could set up a Thai company and be the controlling shareholder, and buy and own land and buildings?
A Thai corporate lawyer would be the best advisor.

Thailand have strict procedures in place ... that put off westerners ... but come on in by the bus load if you're Chinese.

You won’t find it on postal packages ... you’ll find it incubating on the hordes of Chinese that you welcome through your airports every day.

It appears that an American lady on board this ship has been diagnosed with COVID 19 ... is she the only one, I wonder?

It's a screwed up system! I understand if it's a worker the Thai family rely on for their income but a 77 year old is unlikely to be holding done a 9 to 5 job. Part time maybe.
It might be argued that an economic burden has been lifted from the family?

These are even two ships that will dock in Phuket;
one from Hong Kong where everyone knows there are no Chinese: 919 people
and the other from Singapore where there is no Chinese either: 3,149 people on board
The so-called "super spreader" in Brighton, England was not Chinese? And he was never in China.
There is no way, other than extensive testing, of knowing whether people on board this ship have COVID-19.
The decision to let them dock wasn't done for humanitarian purposes, it was done because someone senior got a substantial amount of tea money.

And China is putting around 400 million people (as of yesterday) under lockdown, together with its economy, because of an average virus that officially kills much less than the run of the mill flu???
Journalists are parrots, paid to not think, but that doesn't mean that we are also dispensed to think...and put two and two together...
Agree, the lazy comparison to the globally established flu is tiresome and wrong headed thinking. The death rate of the flu is 0.1% ... even official numbers suggest that novel coronavirus is 2%, and I’ve seen estimates higher for Wuhan. If the virus spreas across the globe the death numbers will be at least 20 times more than the flu. As you state, you have to ask the question why China is locking down 400 million people and damaging it’s economy due to something less dangerous than the flu?

No one will know if novel coronavirus has taken a grip in Thailand until it reaches the point where it can't be stopped ... if uncontrolled it will take around a month to become obvious to everyone. So I'd take special care to avoid crowds and shop during low traffic hours. I wouldn't be to much until the situation becomes clear.
