Really? Calling your opponent a fascist, and an existential threat to the country, and literally Hitler? Geez, what is worse than that? And this about a guy who has already had 2 assassination attempts made on him. So much for "toning down the political rhetoric". I guess she is just that desperate to win.

If you keep going south from Hua Hin, there are progressively nicer and quieter beaches- Pranburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan City, etc. Not great if you are into nightlife, but beautiful and relaxing. Ao Manao Beach just south of Prachuap Khiri Khan is amazing.

Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
Nope. Fortunately, nobody like that is running. I DO prefer the man who has experience at the job and did it well. The rest is all hysteria and hyperbole. Way too much pearl-clutching on the left. Just simmer down. If Trump wins, the world won't end. Same with Harris. If she wins, the world won't end either. -
Yeah? I seem to remember him living in the White House for a while, kind of strange for a loser to do so... the Syndrome is strong in you, young Paduan.

Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
As someone else said, probably on Jill Biden. She was so in love with the trappings of being in the White House, it was hard for her to contemplate leaving. Joe has been a potted plant more or less since his inauguration. I get the feeling that Joe, consciously or not, is hoping for Harris to lose. That way, he can say, "see, I TOLD you I was the better candidate". If she wins, it is a bad look for him. -

She has coped so brilliantly that she is in danger of losing to a grub. Poetic justice. -
Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
True. A grub still flying in his private jet. A grub who has his own golf course and golf resort. A grub who lives in a Manhattan penthouse. A grub whose suits cost more than you make in a year. Some grub. -
Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose

Nominated by delegates who did not choose her in the primary. So no votes. Face it, the Democratic party elite were terrified to suggest another candidate. The repercussions would have torn the party apart. -
Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
This makes sense. If Biden had done the right thing and announced he was not seeking re-^election earlier, the Democrats could have run a serious primary campaign, and IMHO would have chosen a different candidate. But even if Harris had survived that trial, she would have been more battle tested and sharpened enough to face a general election. As it is, she was simply appointed with no opposition, and no chance to practice her political skills. That is a large part of the reason she seems so rusty and dull. -
Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
You think? Consider the avalanche of untrue propaganda emenating from the various legacy media sources in the past week. All with the sole purpose of propping up Harris' campaign and sabotaging Trump's. There is the faint waft of desperation and despair. And the only answer from Harris supporters is the usual ad hom. More invective, more hyperbole, more sputtering vituperation. Guess what? It ain't working. -
"Winning" the popular vote is about as relevant as capturing the most pawns in a game of chess. In other words, zero. Both parties and candidates understand the system going in. If they cannot adapt to it, that is on them. Oh, your definition of "a landslide" is 2.5%? Wow. The current polls show a virtual tie in overall vote, and Trump leading in the 7 swing states. Start stockpiling kleenex and ice cream.

Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose

Even long time Democratic tout David Axelrod acknowledged that Kamala often takes long drives through "word salad city". And when you have lost The Axe, you are in trouble as a candidate. -
Trump Works at McDonald’s claims Kamala Harris 'never has
Hanaguma replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yeah, Trump is Hitler. Except when Democratic politicians are in danger of losing their re-election bids. Then suddenly 'working across the aisle' becomes a selling point. Witness Bob Casey in Pennsylvania, touting his ability to work with Trump in his latest ad campaign. Now, why would someone brag about their ability to work with Hitler? Unless, of course, the whole 'Hitler' narrative is utter BS that nobody actually believes... -

Sure just like they did in 2016.... oh wait, that never happened. THey are happy to hitch a ride on Uncle Sugar's coat-tails though. -
Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
We could accurately say, nobody voted for her at the presidential level. She quit the primaries in 2020 before a single vote was cast. She was installed this year as nominee without a single vote cast.- 210 replies

Why Kamala Harris was always destined to lose
Hanaguma replied to NickyLouie's topic in Political Soapbox
The polling suggests otherwise. It is within 0.2% now. But don't let the facts get in the way of your feelings. Nor let them get in the way of your ad hom attacks against the man who will be your President-elect in a couple of weeks.- 210 replies

Foreign Election Interference in the US 2024 Election!
Hanaguma replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
Wow, he did it all by himself, in an effort to make the BLM protesters look bad? What a hero... ...or was he part of a larger group of protesters that did the deed? ...no word on the 2000 officers injured, or is that part of your claim just being memory holed? -
Foreign Election Interference in the US 2024 Election!
Hanaguma replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
Your recall is flawed. The Third Precinct police station in Minneapolis was overrun and burned by BLM protestors. One of more than 200 businesses in that city alone that were torched. More than 2000 police injured in total during the riots. https://www.wdrb.com/news/national/police-chief-association-releases-number-of-officers-injured-nationwide-during-violent-protests/article_db673920-34ab-11eb-9431-a3e24704f86a.html -
Trump largely used executive orders to stem the flow at the border. Then went to Congress for longer lasting solutions. Biden/Harris rescinded those executive orders, then faffed about for 3 years. The "bipartisan bill" she is touting had little to do with the southern border and a LOT to do with funding the Ukraine war. Three times the money in fact- $60 billion for Ukraine and less than $20 billion for the border. But, Biden could have easily reinstated the Trump era border controls with a stroke of his pen.

Trump: ‘I Need The Kind Of Generals That Hitler Had’
Hanaguma replied to Etaoin Shrdlu's topic in Political Soapbox
The same sleazy article in The Atlantic tried to libel Trump by making him look racist and cheap, complaining about the funeral costs for a Mexican-American service member. Here is the truth, a response to The Atlantic directly from the sister of the deceased soldier; “Wow. I don’t appreciate how you are exploiting my sister’s death for politics — hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members. President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. " The translator who attended the meeting between Trump and the family said; “I was at President Trump’s meeting with the Guillén family because I assisted with translation that day. President Trump was genuinely concerned about Vanessa Guillén and appalled by the tragedy the Guillén Family were enduring.” https://thefederalist.com/2024/10/22/sister-of-deceased-soldier-blasts-the-atlantic-for-latest-anti-trump-fabrications/ -
Trump: ‘I Need The Kind Of Generals That Hitler Had’
Hanaguma replied to Etaoin Shrdlu's topic in Political Soapbox
It's all they have left. Their final message to the voters is "I'm not Trump". And given the state of the polls it isn't working. Harris up by just 0.2% nationally according to RCP, and losing every swing state. And the trend is ever downward. -
Trump: ‘I Need The Kind Of Generals That Hitler Had’
Hanaguma replied to Etaoin Shrdlu's topic in Political Soapbox
As you said yourself, "most people do care, the only ones who don't are cultists". That is by definition a binary. Now, you are right that there are fringe idiots on both sides. No question. But there are ALSO reasonable people on both sides- people who can have good faith disagreements over policy and the direction of the country. That sounds a lot different from your first position. As to those who used to serve under Trump and now are recanting, that is possibly one of the strongest arguments the Democrats have. To answer, I would say the following. Some are disgruntled Washington insiders who did not like being sidelined. Some are doing it for attention- a former GOP loyalist gets lots of gigs on TV and in the media. Some got fired and are butt-hurt. And some are indeed doing it out of principle. Again, there are a variety of reasons. Not sure of what damage Trump did to the US that you allude to. As far as I can remember, the economy was humming along in the pre-covid days. No new wars started. Factory jobs were coming back. What is the damage you speak of? -
Trump: ‘I Need The Kind Of Generals That Hitler Had’
Hanaguma replied to Etaoin Shrdlu's topic in Political Soapbox
...and that attitude is why Harris will lose the election. Your simple binary view of either being a person that cares or a cultist actually shows who is trully 'ignorant of facts'. -
Trump: ‘I Need The Kind Of Generals That Hitler Had’
Hanaguma replied to Etaoin Shrdlu's topic in Political Soapbox
Not really. Most people know and dont care. They judge the record Trump had as president against his personal faults and make the educated decision to vote for him anyway. Calling voters gullible or ignorant is not a winning strategy, as Democrats are about to find out.
