  1. no, my point was that the world we live in changes, not always in a way we like it. We might be able to resist for a while and avoid locations that have changed, but eventually it will become the new norm and we just have to accept it. Re fingerprints, that's the direction the world is going to. There are many countries in the world that have already implemented it, and the rest will sooner our later.
    The situation has changed.

Now, do not worry about having your fingerprints taken. This is inevitable.

Worry about how to protect yourself when this information is leaked and used not in your interest.
  2. For those who live a western life style, including food, clothing, etc.

Cost of living has gone up.

For those who rely on foreign currency, the exchange rate has not gone in their favour.

Together, real cost of living in USD has gone up 20% over the last few years. More for UK and Euro people.

Pollution has also increased significantly in parts that were not as severly affected in previous years.

And of course visa crackdowns on those who abused the visa system (despite doing nothing more than wishing to live and spend here without taking a job)

factor all those together, and this results in a drop.

Also, Thailand has not achieved anything to offset these deterrents to try and balance or attract new expats.

  3. East side of Pattaya will do you good. Near the lake. Not hard to drive into town and easier to get to the highway to go Bangkok.

Also Bang Saray, or even Rayong are worth looking into.

You can try on thaivisa classified section, baht found website, or go to ddproperty, they might have some choices for you.

  4. In Pattaya, it's a bit hard to find the original brand names that are not fake. Not enough call to stock up on them.

Sidegra contains the same active ingredient, and is much cheaper, which is why you don't see Viagra much.

Cialis is also quite expensive, so the generic sells much better. But you can get the original in Bangkok.

Note: Cialis has a generic in Europe, so I do not expect the brand name to become popular here.

However, if you specifically desire original, your best choices is try the hospital (Bangkok hospital Pattaya). This will be very expensive. Alternatively, you can bring from your home country. Should not even need to show prescription unless you are bringing hundreds.
