You might want to look at houses instead. The prices are cheaper, and you get better for your baht.
The concern about condo prices is perhaps more due to less availability in Hua Hin.- 2

I'm having flashbacks to black adder.Word on the street a few years ago was around 50k for one size fits all comedy breasts, or 80k upwards for something a bit more realistic looking.- 2

He needs to adjust his business model to cater to the changing demographic of visitors.
What would the influx of Indians want?- 4

Personal trainers are about 12 to 15k a month for about one hour a day 5 days a week.
More for western trainers.
Also, training 4 hours a day is excessive. Something typically done only if you normally do that anyways, not something you jump into suddenly for 3 months.
You can find trainers in most gyms. Just ask around.

Isn't it busy on the weekends?
-
I'd second Alan Bolton. Nearby, been around for ages, and very familiar with the property of which you speak.
Their English staff is also nice. -

The negativity in here is a stark contrast to the sentiment expressed by actual people in the street. It is as if there is no relationship between what a poster posts and actual reality.Only on here though, where it has a certain culture of people
The average person on the street is smart enough to understand it is less busy during low season. As well as understand nothing operates at peaks constantly without the ocassional troughs.
If there is persistent year round declines for thenext several years, then we can talk.

They are no longer 24 hours. I think it's 10pm they close at.
This change occurred about 5 months ago.- 3

It's not a conclusion, it's a concern.how did you come to this conclusion? -
I go to Starbucks, watch a movie in their first class cinema, buy stuff at Boots, BreadTalk, and central foods.while the shopping centres seem well attended,is there any actual purchasing occuring?seems a lot of people only go there to get out of the heat and rain, use the toilets, and eat in the food courts
I think they are doing all right.
Pity about M&S. The sheer amount of money I spent there was staggering. Now, they have so little stock.
If there was a full proper M&S food store, I'd be quite happy. -
Btw, is it possible that by locking up people they make money?
Charge for food, water, buy ticket, etc? -
I can understand where the IO is coming from.
He's seen you've worked here, which means you've been in the country and know what it's like.
The IO is unable to imagine why anyone would want to visit his country if they've already been here. Therefore, by Thai Logic, you must be here for reason other than tourism.
The key take away for this, is one should never visit Thailand more than once in their lifetime.
And to be honest, there is not much worth to see here as a tourist that would need multiple trips.
Living here, however, as I do, is a different thing, and still worth considering.
The next concern is if they start denying visitors on a Thailand Elite. Hopefully they don't shoot themself in their own foot by doing that. -
Traffic jams on beach road, second road again. Terminal 21 packed, central festival busy.
Thank goodness it's dead. Imagine how busy it would be if it were alive and kicking. -
Not sure that would be viable. The people presently comming are not the sort to pay extra for that. The people who would pay extra for that would not come here unless it was already well established.I have been saying this for years, what they need in Pattaya is a few clubs. Proper clubs. Let whoever you want in, but actual clubs with good music, based in selling alcohol and not tush. Music, dancing, clubs, you know, real clubs. The kind people travel the world to come to, the kind top DJ's get flown to play at. As it stands Pattaya is an absolute bore. It is the world's most pathetic senior living community, Get some clubs in there and change the entire vibe and image!
A sort of catch 22.
Bangkok is more viable, and I think it already exists there. -
He said he was a first timer and wanted to do some basic stuff."Water Sports in Pattaya" Shouldn't this be in the Adult Alternative Lifestyles Forum? [emoji33] -
With the strong Baht and closing of bars, what incentive will there be for tourists here?
Thailand can survive on Chinese only so far. -
Yep.More than 20 bars are owned by one farang. Another owns 3 bars. Do the maths.
I've talked to the owners and mangers. No reason to doubt this. -
Sorry if this has been discussed:
Is there an option to bypass the queue, or have someone else queue for you?
Not sure I'd manage a full days queue in the sun.- 1

So, pay 500 baht to let a Thai min wage worker take your bag through. Or, train?

I use Mr. T several times a year, and as recently as a week ago.
Always polite, good diver. Clean car. Safe driving. Always under speed limit. Always prompt. Never bothered for tips or tolls.
And he replies to emails quickly, when booking. -
Maybe it's ghosts driving the cars and going to bars. They are technically dead.Pattaya doesn't seem to realize that it's been declared dead again. Traffic absolutely horrendous yesterday, lots of people walking around everywhere, bars on Soi Buakhao and Beach Rd. well attended. -
There is no government regulation preventing foreigners from opening an account. As far as immigration cares, this is possible.
However, it is up to the bank to do so or not. And this varies from branch to branch.
So, not quiet chicken and egg, but a realistic problem in an underdeveloped county.
On a side note: with a sizable deposit you should not have a problem in HQs of banks. -
It's not like there aren't any attractive Indian women. I've seen Bollywood, and there are plenty of well fit women.
I think they try to get too close to the lady boys, copa feel or rub rub, then find they were pinched.
But leave out that part of their story.
Where to buy grass-fed beef?
