Part of the problem is so-called "globalisation" - much vaunted by liberals and the left, the World Bank, the IMF, the UN and God knows how many other alphabet organisations- a "global village" where everyone must love his neighbour and each of the countries in the world become utterly reliant on all the others.  Now we have a situation where China has become the last man standing, despite its appalling political system and disdain for human rights.  Perhaps this is the time that a new, softer kind of Nationalism takes hold, where countries become self-reliant again, their citizens become proud of them without being sneered at, and which will perhaps go part way to reining in a despotic regime like China's.

The British Foreign Secretary has promised China that Britain will not politicise the Covid-19 virus.  Why not, for heaven's sake?  The Dems in the US are affronted when the virus is called the Wuhan virus, or worse, the Chinese virus, for fear of upsetting the CCP and the Politburo.  Why?  Let's bring the world back to some state of normality, the way it used to be.  I look forward to it but I shan't hold my breath.

State of normality? Like world war 2?

Yep, next time I get ill I am going to cuss the doctor out for letting it happen.

You are a very stupid person Zik.

The global medical system has failed a big way with this epidemics. All those greedy for money  and regalia doctors and so called scientists turned out to be totally useless in the face of a real threat. Primitive masks and the oxygen pumping machines - all we have to hope on in the 21 first century.

Well done Thailand. I'm really happy to be here right now, because i could not imagine how bad it would be living back in the UK at this minute. . And thank you to the majority of Thai citizens who make the effort to wear masks and keep themselves clean.

Khob khun Mak khrap, Kon Thai jai Dee Mak Loii ????‍♂️

Have you heard that the size of the virus is 1 billionth of a meter? Do you have enough imagination to understand how 'helpful' those masks are?

  4.  My landlord has expelled me from his condo for some small disagreements right before the Covid outbreak. And after I have rented his apartment for 18 months. I have found a much better apartment for a 30% cheaper price. I think my unlucky landlord got what he has deserved.

I assume it means you will not have to apply for a new 30 day extension.

And when the emergency is over you would go to a office and they will update your permit to stay date in your passport or when you leave the country.

And why do they open a new office at Pattaya school then? It does not look like they intend to stop making us to visit the immigration.

I wrote about the news article that I posted a link to on this page not this topic. It says.

"Immigration set to announce automatic visa extensions and suspension of 90 day report "

I wonder what the word ‘automatic’ actually means here. No need to visit the office or just letting you stay for more time legally after providing all the requested documents? Big difference.

Not this long and here government has full emergency powers and yet this requirement to risk lives continues for weeks on end.  Today hundreds continue to expose themselves in large groups when official orders are for people to social distance and remain in homes except for emergency.  I sincerely hope this is the start of an overhaul but from what has been said it does not appear to be.  But anything is better than current situation.

Relax. It is just a matter of time.
