Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Bkk Brian replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
I guess the Russians won't being needing these then: Russia Braces For Attack By 50,000 Ukrainian Kamikaze Drones, Seeks Shotguns https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidhambling/2023/03/24/russia-braces-for-attack-by-50000-ukrainian-kamikaze-drones-seeks-shotguns/?sh=493bc7426ffc -
You should read your own links: But almost six years later, Biden’s trip to Beijing is coming under new scrutiny amid revelations about President Donald Trump’s efforts to dig up information to corroborate his unproven corruption allegations regarding Biden and his son’s work in Ukraine. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/biden-s-trip-china-son-hunter-2013-comes-under-new-n1061051 Your claim still remains false. Unless of course you can quote what country and what deal he got suddenly after a visit with Joe on Air Force One? "suddenly shortly after the visits he gets a business deal"
-
That still does not support your claim: suddenly shortly after the visits he gets a business deal Which happens to be false: U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s visit Saturday to support Ukraine’s fragile democracy came soon after his youngest son was hired by a private Ukrainian company that promotes energy independence from Moscow. https://apnews.com/article/joe-biden-europe-business-c49555d51eb243e09a42f7577fc5937f

Well put it this way. I know what a woman is. I know that a man cannot get pregnant, I think trans people should have their own separate category in sports. I don't think its ok for boys dressed as girls to use girls bathrooms. They should have their own in an ideal world. So its nothing to do with your interpretation as I consider myself woke. Which to me is "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination of all kinds".

Well they are a minority that are being targeted so obviously it would be a lesser number: More than half of LGBTQ parents in Florida say they are considering leaving the state More than half of LGBTQ parents in Florida are considering moving their families to another state over concerns that a new Florida education law – known to its critics as the “Don’t Say Gay” law – stigmatizes LGBTQ identities and creates a hostile learning environment for LGBTQ children or students with LGBTQ family members. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/3828490-more-than-half-of-lgbtq-parents-in-florida-say-they-are-considering-leaving-the-state/

Personally I wish they would stop the sexualization of child performers. But I don't shout about it, I just make a decision not to go to any of those events or change channels if its blasted in my face on TV. I am surprised the right wing don't have more to say on this though, an easier target is Pride I guess, seeing as they are a minority group. OVER-SEXUALIZATION OF CHILDREN IN THE MEDIA

COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open

Which is of course very good news the way it has evolved so far, hopefully it will stay that way, but as you mentioned yourself, nobody has a crystal ball -
COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open

" As for "not all of the mutations are going to be milder" can you please support this with some evidence. Crystal ball perhaps?" Antigenic shift/drift, covid goes through this, its the same with flu, some years it can be more virulent. -
So if a librarian tries to get a copy of the Bible or any banned book to a student, they'll be prosecuted? LOL at least that would be the case in Arkansas The law will subject librarians to criminal charges if they are found to have furnished any item deemed “harmful to minors”. The plaintiffs argue the new law is illegal because it is a direct attack on free speech guaranteed by the first and 14th amendments to the US constitution. They call Act 372 a censorship law that seeks to “ban books in libraries and criminalize librarians”. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jun/02/arkansas-book-ban-law-lawsuit

Its a tradition, started since the Stonewall Uprising 1969. Its grown internationally with millions of people taking part around the world. Parties, workshops, concerts, picnics and of course the parade that the homophobic's seem to focus on. Its to: "recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally." https://www.loc.gov/lgbt-pride-month/about/

The article you quoted is taken from the clip on MSNBC . The fact check link addresses that same clip and quote on MSNBC but I presume you know that and instead deflect. Here let me add some more for you: “The issue is that COVID-19 is not the same disease as it was 6 months ago. The delta variant is more contagious and requires higher levels of antibodies for killing it. Therefore, these videos tell only half the story,” Dr Buddy Creech, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, told Reuters via email when presented with the claims. -

Why am I not surprised..................... Fact Check-Merged clips of CDC Director Rochelle Walensky discussing vaccine protection from severe COVID-19 are missing context Two merged clips of the Centre of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky discussing the protection from COVID-19 for those vaccinated in March 2021 and August 2021 are presented in a way that is missing context. The video places two clips side-by-side. Speaking on the Rachael Maddow show on MSNBC in March 2021, in the first clip Walensky said that CDC data showed that vaccinated people “don’t carry the virus” and “don’t get sick” (here). https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-walensky-clips-idUSL1N2PX1IZ -

No there's not still 30M people in the UK unvaccinated. Among people aged 18 years and over, 75.8% had received at least three COVID-19 vaccinations as of 2 March 2023. Well he needs to find some replacements before this stress test, this is the second time the head of trust and safety has resigned. Twitter’s Head of Trust and Safety Resigns Twitter’s head of trust and safety, Ella Irwin, resigned from the company Thursday, she told The Wall Street Journal. Irwin’s departure is the second time someone in that role has left since Elon Musk bought the company in October. Yoel Roth, who had previously served as Twitter’s head of trust and safety, left the company in November, and Irwin subsequently took the top job overseeing user content and safety policies. https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/twitters-head-of-trust-and-safety-resigns-62c59299
