  1. People suffering from hunger is a lack of equity in the world due to unfair wealth distribution and many other factors including inequalities of social, political, and economic power. It has little to do with Covid and just a failed distraction. Your example of Israel, a country where even Thailand has overtaken in its vaccination coverage and where all you've done is look at the numbers without the data behind them which is: "Israelis over 60 who are either unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated against COVID-19 died in significantly higher numbers last month compared to people in their age cohort who are fully vaccinated, according to official figures published by the Israeli Health Ministry. The numbers show that while only approximately 12 percent of Israelis over 60 are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, together they account for 43 percent of COVID deaths in their age group in the previous month. These numbers highlight once again the stark contrast between the vaccinated and unvaccinated as Israel grapples with the fifth wave of a pandemic that has killed more than 9,000 people since March 2020." https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/unvaccinated-vs-boostered-what-the-covid-death-toll-from-israel-reveals-1.10586137 Now take a look at the death numbers in Portugal the 2nd highest vaxxed country in the world. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/portugal Why is it do you think that many countries in Europe are now leading the way in returning to near normal due to the immunity walls they've built with vaccinations?
  2. PCR test positive cases, total of 14,373 official new infections. 27 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 7,701 bringing the total of PCR and ATK results to 22,074 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ Rolling 7 day average chart from 13th Feb https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  3. Scientists said we’d take annual COVID jabs like flu shots. Now Fauci says it might be only every 5 years The U.S. Chief Medical Adviser Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that the world is nearly over the full-blown first phase of the pandemic and that the worst may be behind us. He also added that annual vaccine boosters might not be needed as we once thought. “It will depend on who you are,” Fauci told the Financial Times, “but if you are a normal, healthy 30-year-old person with no underlying conditions, you might need a booster only every four or five years.” https://fortune.com/2022/02/09/scientists-said-wed-take-annual-covid-jabs-like-flu-shots-now-fauci-says-it-might-be-only-every-5-years/
  4. Yet we're not talking about infection here are we. The string of posts has been about mortality protection which is 95%. The below table is also for AZ https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1054071/vaccine-surveillance-report-week-6.pdf Personally I'd be happy to have a top up booster every year, same as a flu shot, infact there is talk about a new vaccine combining the two. Moderna eyes combined Covid-19, flu booster by 2023 For those younger and healthy then didn't Fauci say a vaccine booster every 3 to 4 years?
  5. T and B cell memory tends to last a very long time but neither you, the scientists or myself can predict the future can we?
  6. No the 95% evidence by real world statistics. However as for your question, you tell me?
  7. Lets see, official statistics from UK ONS Deaths involving COVID-19 by vaccination status, England: deaths occurring between 1 January and 31 December 2021 In the period July to December 2021, the age-standardised mortality rates were significantly lower for people who had received a second or third dose, or booster, at least 21 days ago than unvaccinated people for all age groups. https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/deathsinvolvingcovid19byvaccinationstatusengland/deathsoccurringbetween1januaryand31december2021
  8. Things are getting pretty desperate for the anti vaxxers when they start arguing that 95% protection from death with a covid vaccine is not enough. I guess they've still got ivermectin to fall back on....lol
  9. The comparison is clearly laid out in the chart, it was over 20 times more deadly before vaccines were available and since then has decreased its IFR right down to under 2% with the help of Omicron coming along. Only around 20% of colds are due to coronavirus, most of the rest are Rhinovirus Yes agree, in the UK it seems like covid-19 will get to about the same IFR as the flu thanks to the huge immunity walls they built there with vaccinations and prior infections. Hence thats why the UK is ditching all restrictions. Yep they work, no more restrictions in England end of this month, as Denmark is already doing and a number of other countries.
  10. I was citing a study on the Spanish flu which is what you brought up, Absolutely nothing to do with present day flu, perhaps you missed this which is more up to date: Covid used to be more than 20x more deadly than the flu but thanks to vaccinations + boosters and the lesser virulent Omicron its now just under twice as deadly, at least thats for the UK. More evidence of the effectiveness of vaccines. https://twitter.com/jburnmurdoch/status/1492138139103768576
  11. The vaccine is excellent at preventing death, over 95% protection, from the exact same report you were misrepresenting
  12. Don't suppose they'll donate some of their left over Sinovac, that would upset the Chinese too much
  13. No where did I say that? Better re read my post and also the one before it.
  14. Not sure how relevant that is so long ago. Although I bet they wish they had effective vaccines for that particular flu strain, would have cut the deaths by 90% or more if they were as effective as the covid-19 vaccines. Instead all they had to rely on was widespread mask wearing, closing schools, churches and public gatherings to help flatten the curve. In a study CFR for the Spanish flu and Covid-19 was the same in the UK Comparing COVID-19 and the 1918–19 influenza pandemics in the United Kingdom pdf download
  15. It used to be 20x more deadly than the flu but thanks to vaccinations + boosters and the lesser virulent Omicron its now just under twice as deadly, at least thats for the UK. More evidence of the effectiveness of vaccines. "Two bits of good Covid news today in the UK. First, adding another two weeks of ONS data means Covid’s infection fatality rate has now crossed below the "2x flu" line. Latest IFR is roughly 60% higher than flu and still falling." https://twitter.com/jburnmurdoch/status/1492138139103768576
  16. That site linked to the study sources as did my post, thanks
  17. That study only measured the people once for viral loads, a flaw in its research. Here's some more. A vaccinated person is less likely to get COVID in the first instance, is less contagious, and is contagious for a shorter time, resulting in significantly less spread of the virus through a highly vaccinated community. "vaccinated people clear the virus faster, with lower levels of virus overall, and have less time with very high levels of virus present." https://globalbiodefense.com/2021/12/04/vaccinated-people-clear-covid-faster-less-time-with-high-virus-levels/
  18. Actually I quoted real world statistics direct from the UKHSA. Please keep up.
  19. Have you looked at the studies? Did you do a meta analysis of them? No nor did Carlos Franco-Paredes, he just wrote a letter citing them. If you have evidence for your claims in a scientific peer reviewed study then quote and link, thats how you make your case otherwise your just repeating what you wish to be true
  20. No the only thing untrue is your whole post. "UK data finds 3rd vaccine dose offers 95% protection against Omicron deaths" "It added that effectiveness against hospitalization due to COVID complications was around 90% for the Pfizer-BioNTech shot, dropping to 75% 10-14 weeks after the booster, and it was 90-95% up to 9 weeks after the Moderna booster." “The evidence is clear, the vaccine helps to protect us all against the effects of COVID-19 and the booster is offering high levels of protection from hospitalization and death" https://www.timesofisrael.com/uk-data-finds-booster-shots-offer-95-protection-against-omicron-deaths/
  21. That is not a study, it is just a letter to the Lancet by Carlos Franco-Paredes "According to a spokeswoman for The Lancet Group, such letters represented the views of the author and "not necessarily the views of The Lancet journals". Here's a fact check on that particular letter. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-02-04/coronacheck-lancet-anti-vaccine-mandate-letter/100802688
  22. I've already provided evidence that this is not true which you've ignored. There are also no countries that have been fully vaccinated and even if there were, nobody is saying the vaccines protect from infection 100% especially with Omicron Viral loads are not equal. Because masks add an extra layer of protection. Its about reducing risk, the risk cannot be eliminated.
  23. You're throwing out as much as possible hoping it sticks, its failing each time. Vaccinated people with breakthrough COVID infections had lower viral loads UCLA study of 12,000 health workers found infected individuals who were unvaccinated shed more viral particles https://newsroom.ucla.edu/releases/vaccinated-workers-shed-less-covid-virus
  24. PCR test positive cases, total of 14,990 official new infections. 26 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 7,687 bringing the total of PCR and ATK results to 22,587 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ Rolling 7 day average chart from 12th Feb https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  25. Not what I want, its what evidence says is true. 31st Jan Omicron outbreak in Denmark, study "vaccinated persons are less likely to be infected and to pass on infection"
