  1. Boosters 88% effective at preventing people ending up in hospital with Covid-19. Real world data: https://www.bbc.com/news/health-59840524 The covid death rate in Thailand over 2 years is 0.90% https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/
  2. Obviously this needs another explanation for you as you have not actually researched this at all and instead just looked at stats with no context. Firstly Israel is NOT one of the most vaxxed countries on earth. It only has 65.7% of its population fully vaccinated. The majority of those deaths are in the unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated. 12% of the over 60's in Israel are either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
  3. PCR test positive cases, total of 10,490 official new infections. 21 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 4,248 bringing the total of PCR and ATK results to 14,738 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ Rolling 7 day average chart from 3rd Feb https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  4. Not too many of those thankfully, its the unvaxxed clogging up the hospitals and dying https://ourworldindata.org/covid-deaths-by-vaccination
  5. Look at the data on that, its already been posted a couple of pages ago, fully explained there.
  6. You keep talking about lab studies and they don't transfer to real world settings, however, I posted for you a "real world" study, the largest ever undertaken. Here's another: “These data from real-world settings reinforce the importance of consistently wearing face masks or respirators to reduce the risk of acquisition of SARS-CoV-2 infection among the general public in indoor community settings,” the CDC said in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/02/04/covid-mask-effective-n95/
  7. As of 1st Feb 2022 Israel has 66% fully vaccinated. https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations
  8. Yea insurance or risk management is useless. Who needs it...........such a waste of money, if there's a sudden influx lets just close the hospital doors and let them die at home instead, better than setting up a field hospital just in case.
  9. The majority unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated thats why. Pity they never took their own scientists advice. By the way 12% of the over 60's in Israel are either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
  10. New variants have emerged that changed the effectiveness of the vaccines in preventing as much transmission as in earlier strains. However they've retained their effectiveness in kicking in the B & T cells to a large extent. Nobody could have predicted the new Omicrion variant with its vaccine evasion capabilities. Treatments are rapidly being developed with many now being administered, its not all about vaccines now that's false. Together with the vaccines these treatments are allowing some countires to already get back to normal. Anti vaxxers complain of their rights and freedoms....lol What I find ironic, its because of all the vaccines that have been administered that countries like Denmark are getting all restrictions lifted for "everyone" including those not vaccinated. Thanks to those of us that in my opinion made the right choice to get vaccinated, it is this majority that is helping us win this battle.
  11. Not talking about the UK I was referring to your separate statement which was.................... Largest study on masks and Covid-19 demonstrates their effectiveness in the real world https://egc.yale.edu/largest-study-masks-and-covid-19-demonstrates-their-effectiveness-real-world
  12. PCR test positive cases, total of 9,909 official new infections. 22 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 4,973 bringing the total of PCR and ATK results to 14,882 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ Rolling 7 day average chart from 2nd Feb https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  13. Here's a real world study for you.............. Largest study on masks and Covid-19 demonstrates their effectiveness in the real world https://egc.yale.edu/largest-study-masks-and-covid-19-demonstrates-their-effectiveness-real-world
  14. They are fining people daily in Phuket for not wearing a mask while riding a motorbike. A checkpoint near where I live (Phuket) was set up over a week ago and they stop and fine anyone found doing this.
  15. Agree entirely with those criticisms, Sinovac has had its day in Thailand and the left over stock should not be palmed off to the youngest children in the population. Bringing MIS-C into this as a reason is highly questionable IMO when he is citing zero credible statistics for this age group with Sinovac benefits to outweigh this. Agree on the possibility of transmission of covid from children to elderly persons but again with Sinovac being used, the least effective vaccine on the market especially against Omicron. If I had children of this age I would have serious concerns about the motive for this.
  16. Yes much later for the general public, it was a complete shambles from the get up and go, bred by complacency in their zero covid numbers at the time and a belief they were immune to another outbreak. When they had their initial discussions with Astrazeneca they estimated they only needed 3 million doses a month, even AZ questioned that figure and told them not to rely on them as their sole supplier. Eventually AZ produced the contracts and leaked letters were also published detailing that Thailand's public announcements were not in line with the actual commitments promised by AZ.
  17. You mean this Japan? Cases through the roof and deaths following the trend https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/japan
  18. Considering well over half the world's population live in urban high density area's including cities then yes New York is representative. Those few fortunate enough to live in low density rural area's have the benefit of natural isolation. However even then they mostly live in communities where there are schools, workplaces, weddings, funerals where the virus can spread. I notice you are very good at throwing out questions but no so good at doing some research and providing answers?
  19. WHO Thailand situation report from yesterday, plenty more info in the other slides. https://www.who.int/thailand/emergencies/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports
  20. PCR test positive cases, total of 9,172 official new infections. 21 official covid deaths recorded. Rapid tests positive cases, 4,012 bringing the total of PCR and ATK results to 13,184 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/ Rolling 7 day average chart from 1st Feb https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  21. "protection afforded by previous infections against reinfection by Omicron may be as low as 19 per cent."
  22. Another one here! Crazy, rather die than get a vaccine, well thats your choice then ‘I will die free’: Unvaccinated Burke County man denied kidney transplant by hospital BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — A Burke County man’s decision not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine means he also won’t be getting a much-needed kidney transplant. Chad Carswell, a double amputee who has undergone several major surgeries on his heart, now faces a different battle. Carswell told Channel 9′s Dave Faherty his kidney is only operating at about 4%. Dialysis three times a week keeps him going, but the solution is temporary. https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/i-will-die-free-unvaccinated-burke-county-man-denied-kidney-transplant-by-hospital/OJGAFURR4FGERJB7VT24P5RED4/
  23. Difficult to have a discussion based on the OP article if you won't read it ????
  24. I can assure you more than 18 million doses of Sinovac was not donated to Thailand but paid for at market price with nice profit. They did make a couple of small donations, 1 - 2 mil at most.
